1. after the introduction of the 991, the 997 will look older, maybe a little bit outdated. This has always been the case, it won't change.
2. the 991 will offer a Panamera-like interior and an updated PCM system
3. power should be practically the same, 405-415 HP are rumored (so you basically get the same power as on the 997 GTS for less money since the 991 Carrera S base model already has this power)
4. improved PDK system (2nd generation for the 911)
5. more options (like dynamic engine mounts, etc.)
6. improved chassis and steering
7. improved PSM/PTM system
8. optional PTV system
The 997 Carrera GTS is surely a bargain for what it offers but don't underestimate the attraction of a completely new 911, the 991.
Difficult times for those who have a choice.
Maybe I should consider myself lucky that I have to wait and can't go for the GTS right now.
