The first 2 look like a 60's and a 70's Cadillac fleetwood. Nice pieces of history. I knew guys in New England that would use these plastic cocoons. It does kinda illustrate the futility of a large collection. 3 cars and an SUV should do it at the most. Go to car shows and or museums to satisfy any other need.

I don´t know what all the fuzz is about. These storage devices secure a constant humidity and dustfree environement and are usually used for longer storage periods, e.g. living abroad. Unless someone provides additional information, this storage unit could be rented by several individuals and not just one owner.
Whether this solution is sensible and practical should be decided by others but I wouldn´t mind acquiring one mildly driven sportscar in a couple of decades as a vintage car. I have also heard about people buying convertibles at the birth of their children and releasing these cars the first time after 18 years (legal age and minimum age for driving license in several European countries).
It's not a problem, it just seems a shame to buy these cars and not drive them. That's all, nothing more, nothing less. Mind you, you can only drive one at a time. I'd also say that I'd buy one of his cars off him second hand for the right money of course.

Well besides that fact that it is complete overkill, because the car will be fine in ANY covered garage, he obviously will never drive them. That is the only sad part.
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

It may be great for storage but, like others have said as well, it means the car isn't being driven. It's just a great pity. Like a Monet painting kept in a vault and no one can see and enjoy it.
