Okay here is the best I can do with very limited Microsoft Paint and a little time.
Side view with main sponsor prominent, car number, transition between white and black like a fresca can DOES NOT SHOW ART WORK APPLIQUE IN SCUDERIA RED
Looking down on your car from above with black as background color, NO ARTWORK ALLOWED ON LIGHTS OR WINDSCREEN HIGHLIGHTED BY WHITE OUTLINE
The style of artwork and approximate size all in Scderia RED to be dropped onto car body. The parts PURPOSELY placed outside of rectangle will fall/drape onto side body which will show red on white background. The artwork would be at different angles and represent ferrari, racing, whatever you want.
It could be reversed with a red background on car and black art applique.
Just a very quick example, real artwork would be more detailed, more elements- you have to imagine the white and yelloe here as clear vellum the "P4/5" would go right on the front also;
It was a fun exercise and would be a cool look for some car.

The regelment of 24h Nürburgring describes which sponsor labels (color, size, font, form etc.) have to be used and it even describes where to use the stickers. So all of this ideas may look good (personal taste, i like the round numbers too) but aren't allowed if you want to race.

But this is cool the applique can be reflective and give a great effect at night

Well, to throw my 2 cents in the pot since everyone is posting rather bold statements for paint scheme choices, I always found the 1999 B.A.R Honda's "Split Livery" to be kind of bold, interesting and amusing. I know shortly thereafter this sort of scheme was banned by the F.I.A in F1, but I don't know if that's the case for other series.
The plus side of this is that you can solicit TWO primary sponsors and have them both split the cost. Pretty nice deal in a tight economy and shrinking ad/sponsor budgets.
And Toyota GT-One in the "shredded white" scheme wasn't too bad a looker either.

I have a painting or two but I don't have any Koons.

I used Koons M3 just to show how colorful you can make a car, but there is no talent in that particular execution. There is no talent in many of these cars. The trick is color and great design coming together to produce a winner.
As far as throwing money around (why even mention money for this) if the desire is just abstract use of color like so many of these cars including the old F1 benetton, just take it to the Bronx Zoo and let the gorillas throw paintballs at it. They work cheap.
When I suggested the idea of adding an attractive design, Peter Max was a first thought because the guy has talent. Unfortunately though his style does not translate to racing cars, see the nascar. It would be tough to mix ferrari and a psychodellic trip to a cosmic sundown.

I believe I have already given the best design format incorporating A) the sponsor, B) red, white and blue colors for an american entrant on the sides C) ferrari colors, iconic collaborators, and elements on the front and top that will create a bold, meaningful, and memorable racing car.
If it were my car I would list the trademarks and elements that I wanted in the graphic rectangle (all in red ink to drop onto black-topped car and drape onto white sides)(and had permission to use) - for example - pininfarina, magnetti-marelli, Agip, the prancing horse, the ferrari factory foundry worker, DCT gears, past driver images, race names, etc. and have anyone submit their version of that.
Just trying to be helpful and see a nice looking design to match the body end up on the track

Great livery! There is a collector in FL with a 250 GTO that carries similar livery - a friend of mine worked quite closely for him for a number of years and shared numerous pictures, as well as the story of the time he had a chance to drive the car - and those simple stripes really accentuate the larger 'gesture' of the car's design. Well done, I look forward to seeing it out there getting it's hands dirty.
