Re: C2S versus C4S?

@John H: that's a pity - it seemed like you were really keen on that one Certainly, the Carrara White one was lovely.
OPCs nowadays behave little better than estate agents where the practice of 'gazumping' has been coming back OPCs care little about the relationship they have with customers - they just want to get the money in now - even if that means disappointing a customer who has already scheduled a test drive
It's true I was very keen on both this car's appearance and it's specification and would probably have bought it if I'd had the chance to drive it.
Obviously I was very annoyed with the salesman I was dealing with when he gave me the bad news. His 'explanation' was that, although I'd shown interest in the car, I hadn't committed myself sufficiently to prevent an alternative and definite deal being struck by another salesman.
I suggested that by agreeing to my testing the car, on returning from my trip, the OPC was ethically obligated to do so, even if another firmer offer had been negotiated in my absence.
His response was - and this was key - the 'powers-that-be' insisted that the sale go through as their financial year-end was, in fact, yesterday.. 31st July.
Although still of the opinion that this should have been disclosed to me earlier, if it was to be of major significance to the availability of the car, I could, to some extent, accept that this could be classed as exceptional circumstances.
However! The announcement below suggests this to be a downright lie and I shall be pursuing it further tomorrow...
