All the angles showing the construction and why it is so liight and with that engine should be very quick.
As for power, Aston Martin was a little light on details, but here's what we got out of them. The engine was just dyno'd in England at 740 crank horsepower. some documentation sitting off in a corner and it said 553 lb-ft of the stuff. That's as much as a VW twin-turbo TDI V10 – the same motor Clarkson used to tow a 747. Keep in mind that this document stated the horsepower at 700, not the 740 hp they just spun on the dyno. For comparison's sake, the 6.5-liter V12 in the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce makes "just" 487 lb-ft of twist. And the ragingist of all bulls hits 60 mph in 3.0 seconds. Translation: the One-77 is going to be a monster.

I just noticed where the air intakes are routed to get the best and coolest air flow from. This area in the wheel well is also one of the places with the best pressure (high or low ? I forget) for some "natural" forced air induction.
Like everything else it is molded out of the CF and part of the body and curves up to the MAF on either side of the engine to feed 6 cylinders. It seems like they created a venturi effect by splitting the path at the beginning for more air speed. Very well thought out car.

There is a rumour going around that one buyer has purchased 10 of these!
Mike?
Maybe thats the "twist" he was talking about in the CGT thread
" guys i just took delivery of a flock of One-77s with a twist of CGT on the side"
followed by a ton of pictures.

That looks like a complex piece of carbon. Even if the one-77 has a couple issues the carbon fiber work done on this thing is spectacular, comparable to the Zonda IMHO.

one-77 hits Silverstone.

indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

good find **
but we will have to take their word for it, no interior shot and that engine was being treated like it is in the break-in period. Never once pushed hard, didn't even begin to sound like a 12, or like the One-77 that was doing the high speed testing on the earlier video they released. This one actually sounded like a 911, I guess they were only using half the engine.

ya you can hear the driver was very very careful and he also stayed away from the edges of the track. It was a show lap for sure, but its (the car) is growing on me.

finally shows up in black and hardly any pics available. It was at Goodwood in the open, there should be lots of pics and video's of this thing;
not the best shots

I don't like it too much, it looks too big, too aftermarket, too SLR copycat, don't know.
The Aston Martin model I like most right now is the V12 Vantage. Superb value for the money, especially when they are slightly used (aprox. 150000-160000 EUR incl. german VAT with less than 5000 km).

News;
Aston Martin One-77 is being readied for production. The 7.3-litre V12 engine has been certified at 750bhp and 750Nm of torque, positioning it as the most powerful naturally aspirated road car engine in the world today.
btw the One-77 is - 4" lower and 4.7" shorter than a DBS. With a rumored 3300LB curb weight, this should have decent numbers. The best car available today.

Even though I think it's the most beautiful car money can buy right now, I just don't think that its looks quite match its price tag. For that kind of money I would expect something outrageous. I think it's a shame that AM wasted this design on such a one-off.
Just imagine if the regular DB9 looked like this? Would be perfect.

I'd have to agree with you there!
I paid quite a bit less than that though for mine brand new, but then again I guess the terrible exchange rate of GBP:EUR helps somewhat with the cost comparison at the moment!
