In all the pictures I have seen it looks more like a GT. If Porsche is in fact going to introduce a sort of 928 why not keep the 911 dynamics that most of us love intact. I'm really hoping that the wheelbase change doesn't dilute the 911 experience.
What's your take RC?
It still hard to imagine that someone sayd that it will be more futuristic... at least in design... the only thing i imagine futuristic in the new 991 is the rear and (probably) front ligths... and maybe a more muscular/agressive look...

Evo magazine: "NEW PORSCHE 911 PROTOTYPE AT THE NURBURGRING"
(5 July 2010)

"Following my blog last week with the Zonda setting its Nurburgring lap record, I thought I'd post a couple more videos of cars that I saw.
When we drive a really good car very hard, and yes it's frequently a Porsche, we sometimes say that it feels like someone has been there before us. What we mean is that the test drivers have obviously spent a lot of time really honing the way the car behaves not just up to but beyond the limit of grip so that it feels natural to drive it very hard. As if to prove this point I saw a 911 prototype testing at the Nurburgring. There were plenty of other manufacturer prototypes circulating the 'Ring but none was driven with quite such commitment as this. I'm sure the driver actually enters the Kleine Karussell sideways (once the S Class is out of the way)."

I am still having the feeling that the 991 coupe and the 991 convertable we see in those pictures are not both 991's ... subtle differences in the lines under the camo (for example the shape of the inlets in the front grille, and the way the headlights are taped off make me doubt... might be two different platforms they're testing...
