458 Italia full acceleration and downshifts

Sound was really amazing there especially on the downshifts. That Sao Paulo street could easily pass for a US city street. I like real world video's much more than staged stuff but that guy may want to lighten up on the gas on such a busy street.
I was on a track yesterday and there was a black 458......I had no chance agains it
The calipers were yellow and he had a yellow line in the middle of the seats . It looked great
The front licence place was instaled without making hole in the front fender.

^^ I like that option a lot, I think it gives the car a lot of personality, I just think glossy black would look a lot better than satin. As its been said before if you want this option the best choice is to get the car without and have it done with foil, that way no harm comes to resale and if you get tired of it just take it off.
I think that car does have a gloss black roof and I think I saw it on the production line back in March on my Atelier visit. The gloss roof against the solid white doesn't look great in real life but photographs well whereas the exact reverse is true for the satin finish. The Atelier guy was most insistent that on a solid colour like white or red that a satin roof looks best whereas a gloss roof works very well with a metallic bodycolour. I saw a California in Grigio Titanio with a gloss black roof in the factory and have to agree with him. The 599 GTO two tone cars have satin roofs and look great when you see them, especially the satin black against Rosso Corsa.
I'm going to get the roof wrapped on my car I think as I really like the effect. The 458 was made for it with the rising shoulders above the rear wheels giving a natural visual break point for the two tone effect.
isuk, my car got shipped today, it will be here in a week. i bought matt black 3M foil, and lately i was tending towards glossy. so you think matt black will look better than glossy on giallo modena?

Dimitri,
Having sen that white car with a gloss black roof on the line I'd say that matt black 3M will look far better against your Giallo (looking forward to seeing pics of it asap when it arrives by the way since Stefan has forgotten how to use a camera ).
The matt black gives a much better contrast against the gloss yellow adding not only a colour change but a texture one as well making the main colour even more noticeable rather than detracting from it as the gloss tends to do. Matt black will also match the PEXS sports sills which are matt black on a Giallo car
Regards,
Iain
Dimitri,
Here is a quick mock up I did with a couple of model cars when I was thinking of having Giallo Tri Strato with a satin black roof. Although somewhat crude it does show how much the bi colour changes the look of the car completely. It makes the roof look more like a fighter jet's canopy.

At least that German Rosso Corsa car with RICS wheels has been caught on camera

That matt black roof makes the car so outstanding. The roof line and the whole perspective changes to fascination!
And that video shows again the masterpiece of a steering wheel. Haven't seen some need part like this since long!

Too bad you have nothin else to drive while you wait Iain.
Got a couple of old nags still in the garage Tom to keep me amused. Sold the Maserati and recently bought this little runaround...... an Alfa Romeo Mito 155 Veloce. Not in MikeS's league of daily's though Quite nippy, good on fuel and I can leave it anywhere without worrying about it.
Well why don't you guy's - Iain, Easy, John, the exiled leadfoot, the Aston rennteamers, and all the other brits get together for a Rennteam Day Trip to Blenheim.
Caravan in groups to Blenheim in the morning, Eat at the restaurant there, hang out on the awesome grounds for a couple hours, take pics, then do a planned group drive, and then head back home.
This is the time of year for it. Really no excuse, you have the cars and the perfect scenery to enjoy. I know if I were there I would doing just that.
what better place to hang out with lots of different great cars including one of your nags (the lawn on the left is a great place to hang and the restaurant serves good food.)
