Great specs Mike, the yachting mahogany trim is very very classy ! the only objection i have with the car is that it all seems to be very ... brown. mahogany exterior, 2 tone brown leather, mahogany trim ... maybe a white exterior or a lighter interior would help give the combo a bit more depth. just my 2 cents. Anyway congrats on another great buy.
I've just returned from a ride in a friends' Panamera Turbo, dear god what a car... I honestly can't grasp what this car is capable of. It was waiting on my driveway, and I couldn't help thinking "god this car is huge", seconds later we were almost literally flying around corners at speeds a car this size has no right to be capable of. Next up, showing the capabilities of the Burmester hifi, literally the hairs on my head were dancing along with the bass, the sound is so pure, no matter the volume, I've never heard something like that before. Lastly, we did some autobahn, the acceleration of this thing begs belief, you really have to watch the speedometer to realize how fast you're going. 100-200km/h is dealt with in the blink of an eye, cruising at 300km/h feels almost natural.
God this car is talented, I know magazines have critisized it for feeling distant and I can understand that, but as a supersonic travel companion it has no competitor. I'm hugely amazed by this car. I've felt the same after a ride in a 997.2 GT3, but somehow it felt 'natural' to feel that way about that car, so I didn't bother writing about it, in the Panamera however I hadn't expected it, the crushing capabilities came as such a surprise.
Lookswise the Panamera never had an easy life, but to see that car (black & Turbo II 20" wheels) take off in the dark with a thundering (admittedly modified) exhaust note, it looked impressive to say the least, it felt like Batmobile for the executive Batman.
What a car... I'm sold!
I guess Eunice should develop some sort of automatic congratulations function for you, so any time you get a new car, you automatically get congrats from me.
Seriously, Mike...you need to get that car fever under control.
