Spyderidol:
Yes, but it just looks odd! (IMO).
True, but no worries! I mean, the 997 looks odd as well with the spoiler up, doesn't it? ;-)
BTW, does anybody happen to have these pictures at a ridiculously high resolution? Please?

But i remember the CGT concept, it had a similar cold feel to it when it was first displayed. They will refine the final shape i think. Great to hear they have 900 buyers lined up already, this car will be built!
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

Talking about 900 buyers. Porsche has sent a package to every CGT owner in the USA with a picture of the 918, a prepaid envelope with one question: "Are you interested to know more about this car?". They were not asking "Do you want to buy this car?". I replied yes and haven't yet received anything else in the mail. I sincerely doubt they have 900 firm buyers because they haven't asked yet. Though, they certainely received 900 envelopes with yes on the back.
Porsche, if you read this..ask the right question if you want to get the right answer. I would have said "yes, I do" . In the mean time, I keep my beloved CGT in the garage, take delivery next month of a brand new Turbo S convertible and can't wait to have you ask me the question..."yes, I want to get married with Porsche..."

I believe the Porsche dealers were asked by Porsche for interested clients. My Porsche dealer asked me and my response was if the car is priced under $300,000 I would be interested. If above $300,000 I am not.
The 900 interested byers is not a good number to make a production decision. Of the 900 you have to assume a 30 to 40% attrition rate.
Silver Carrara were you asked by your dealer if you were interested in the 918? BTW, your going to love the S Cab.
