Sweet collection. I know of only 1 Alfa 8C here in Canada, and it was basically smuggled in.

I see the rigging on those platforms? Do they pull the cars up so you can fit more cars on the floor space underneath?

    If so, very very cool!

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

Those platforms rise up so another car can be stored underneath.

Now that is a garage, thanks for sharing!

Are the platforms custom made, or can you post the manufactor? Thanks

Thanks for sharing the awesome pics Jim! Very excited to see how this project progresses along.

Once again, more pics of that garage Your P4/5 is still out of this world!

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

Can you give us some more hints how to incorporate the Scuderia´s chassis underneath the P4/5 bodyshell? From a technical point of view, has it been easier on the Enzo´s carbonfibre bodyshell?

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

Basically P 4/5 was designed using CAD.  All of her design is stored Mathematically.  We'll begin by stripping the Scuderia down modifying her suspension/engine/gearbox /chassis to GT2 Race specifications add a roll cage and then establishing her new hard points.

We'll then take the P 4/5 Data and crunch it into the new measurements and once we're happy we'll use the new Mathematics to build her CF molds and body.

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

Thanks! So the CF panels are calculated based on the structural necessities of each item? I primarily wondered how those panels are attached to the Scuderia´s body structure, e.g. bolted or glued.

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

    Glued and Bolted.

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

Sounds fantastic. Interested to know why you chose a Scuderia over say a F430 GT2 or GT3 race car or even a FXX which I would've thought would have fit in perfectly with the road version of the P 4/5 being based on the Enzo?

The Scud is street legal and can be reconverted to street legal standard when it's done with its racing career. GT2 and FXX cannot. Not to mention, F was pretty stingy with what you can and can't do with the FXX. I doubt they'd ever let one be race campaigned outside of the FXX series.

OK, didn't realise being road registerable was a requirement. Would've thought using another Enzo would have been the go, although probably too hard to make into a race car with lack of parts etc.

Not 100% sure on the being road registerable part as a requirement for racing, but I do know it was one of the thing Napolis wanted on an individual basis.

The Enzo would not really make a suitable privateer effort racer. Getting your hands on a "spare" Enzo is both cost prohibitive (>$1MM vs $250K Scud) and it has (to my knowledge) no race parts and race development behind it.

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

The Enzo has a Carbon Fiber Tub which is not legal at the 24 of Nurburgring and a V12 would get poor fuel mileage which wouldn't work at the Ring either because of the long laps.  Keep in mind that due to air restriction a V8 endurance engine would make as much hp as a V12.

    Re: Ferrari P4/5 Competizione Confirmed

Jim, would love to see this car in Targa Tasmania one day when you convert it back to be a road registered car.  If you are not familiar with the event, watch Eric Bana's Love the Beast which Leno was also involved with.  Just don't ask Eric about his crash there.
