Re: All Fixed
Get the hard top with your car, I love the dual look.
I have 7K miles on mine with lots of twisting and winding roads and I've had two bad thump type sounds.
The 1st thumper was an empty Pepsi bottle under the passenger seat.
The 2nd thump from hell turned out to be 200 rounds of .45 ammo jumping in there boxes in the trunk over bumps.
I have found the any little squeak or rattle is amplified thoughout the 997 and it has always turned out to be something other than the car making the noise.
Try moving the things around in the glovebox and trunk...turn things on their side or put a towel under them.
I think you will be able to isolate your squeaks and rattles.
Now, back to the hard top.
I live in Illinois and we have lots of crappy weather.
The hard top is a great option.
It locks the car down like a hard top from the rain, snow and cold, but is very easy to remove by my Girlfreind and me when the weather is nice.
It weighs just 72 lbs. amd is very easy to handle, we take it off and set it on a peice of foam in the garage and forget about it.
So...get the hard top and have fun all year long...:)
