    tomorrow

will be the day. The day I will order my Panamera turbo.

I will fix the last options today and will get the car after june as a B model year, model year 2011. Porsche offered me a VIP leasing which is very attractive, the same money as for a BMW X6M. The BMW leasing offer was indeed very good, but Porsche offered a much better Smiley

    Congratulations!

I look foward to your report and pictures.

    Re: tomorrow

Thats great news, I've been seeing a lot of panameras lately in the streets and i have to say the design is starting to grow on me. It certainly has a lot of road presence.

    Congrats ALDO - great news

I allways loved the car - but  it was (is) to high priced - buying was a risk with the resale values after 3 years - now the leasing offer was perfect.

In two month I should get it - with paddles :)

Wow, sounds great. I can't believe it was better than the offer for the X6 M but if true (and I trust your word), Porsche Leasing must have changed completely. Smiley

I still couldn't "afford" to put a Panamera Turbo in front of my business though.

Congratulations...we're expecting lots of photos and a detailled driving report. Smiley Smiley

    Re: tomorrow

Great news Aldo, I must admit I rather like the Panamera Turbo, if it comes in the right colour. A relative of mine ordered one, he will get it in June.

BTW, what colour, interior and options did you choose?

    Re: tomorrow

     Color is the hardest thing.

Black or white - I did have two white cars - I tend to black. I have still few days to change it.

Interiour - great problem - all wood applications are rather a compromise - carbon looks cheap and alu bad. So I choose Birke anthrazit. Leather either espresso (but then with other wood) or simple black. My dream combo was yachting blue with bi color yachting blue and creme with mahagoni wood - but then I have to hire a leather cleaning guy for cleaning every day the leather. Or I have to switch and wear only white trousers :(

The rest is not so spectacular - iPhone, distronic, 4-clima, seats with cooling, ......

I didn´t order: PDCC, ceramic brakes and sport exhaust. Why: PDCC I have tested and it is ok, but for daily driving or highway no one on our blue planet does it need, the same with ceramic brakes, the sport exhaust is good on Panamera S or 4S but on turbo it is rather a small effect and from inside you don´t hear any difference. So I keep a good relation to my neighbors :)

    Re: tomorrow

Indeed, the choice of interior applications is odd. Never seen the elements painted in exterior colour which might look interesting in plain black.

So far, would go with the above mentioned choices as well.

Black is both good and bad for this car. It suits its style and image but OTOH it makes the rear 1/3 of the car look very heavy. The curves and folds at the back are hidden and this burdens an already "difficult" rear design.

Two days ago there was a black turbo in the workshop I took my car and I stood for a few minutes observing it together with the technician and we both came to the same conclusion: Although it's odd for a large car, lighter colours suit the Panamera more Smiley

Debadged the the car, replace the Porsche badges with VW ones, then put the Passat CC badge in place of the Panamera wording.

    No one is gonna notice.

Congrats on your new car. The PanTurbo is really a great sedan.Smiley
But go with the PDCC. Its might be a rather mistake to sort it out from the order.
Only with the PDCC the Pana behaves like a real sportcar in the curves.
Thats my personal experience during a thoroughly testdrive.

can anyone else comment on this? i had a 4S with sport exhaust for 3 days - the sound was amazing with it on: and that is both inside and outside. Further,  as  it was winter near Ottawa Canada  the windows were not really down that much but is was so nice.

looking at a Turbo without the sport exhaust but rationalizing passing and ordering with the option.

    Re: tomorrow

CPA, my understanding is that with a turbo, since the exhaust gases must first pass through the turbine of the turbo, where a lot of the energy is extracted, the PSE has a limited effect on the sound when compared to a NA car.

I know what you mean, I have PSE on my car and I love it; I constantly seek out roads with long tunnels ;) but somehow, it is different on the tt.

    Re: tomorrow

After much study, I have ordered a turbo in Silver with the Expresso interior and Tineo wood trim. It seemed to be the best combo to me. I have also ordered the floor mats in black to provide extra contrast for some days. They are starting to build the 2011 model year in May.

    Re: tomorrow

    Congrats ALDO

Panamera looks the best in lighter colors IMO. I love it in White and GT silver.

    Nevertheless, very nice DD car.

I have test it , but not thoroughly. In which situations do you think I need PDCC? For me it is not to late to change the options.

The feeling is far more stable particulary on twisty roads with double bends.
It behaves like a real sportcar very close to the 911.
Of course on the highway y'll not gain that advantage exept on very fast curves.

    Re: tomorrow

If you are getting the Turbo that has the Adaptive Air Suspension as standard (on NA it is a 3.500 Euro option), it's a pity not to order the PDCC. In the price the PTV differential is also included.

IMO if someone is getting the top model, all performance extras must be picked. If it was the basic model or even the S, the rationale could be different.

    Re: tomorrow

PDCC is a MUST-have option for the Panamera Turbo, no doubt about it, Conny is right.

Btw: my color choices would be white or black, the Panamera is very color-sensitive.

Saw a white Panamera 4S recently in Miami, looked absolutely fantastic.

    Re: tomorrow

Talked to one engineer from Weissach - orginal words: "You and all your friends - couldn´t say if PDCC is installed or not if they don´t know before". Only if you push the button you feel the difference. When driving one day with PDCC and the next without you can´t feel a difference. Our cars don´t roll like MB S-class or BMW 7-class. It is perfect without and more perfect with it."

So I have to decide by myself right now :(

    Re: tomorrow

Congratulations!  Such a fine car, and a sweet lease.

I was in Boston over the weekend, and there was a Panamera Turbo parked for two days in the front of our hotel.  Yachting Blue with the white bi-color.  Stunning.  If you like it go for it, the H... with the cleaning.  You will find a way.  If I can keep my Cayenne TTS clean with my two young kids in it, you can manage.

Or, consider carbon grey with expresso.  So sophisticated, IMHO...

    Re: tomorrow

Yep, carbon grey is also a very nice color, saw it at my dealer.
