MP4-12C use biturbo engine in midengine layout and most of its coolers are at the back-design here follows the function...
Well, the good old F355 already featured such layout.
BTW, F355 is still one of my favourite designs. Somehow I still like it a lot.
JUST... F355 did not feature biturbo engine.

F1 looks so much nicer!
The MP4-C12 has such a clean and simplistic design, it is a real beauty.
If I could afford it...

If only the rear wasn't so heavy, or the front more in proportion Ahhh and the wheels filled the wheel arches more.

To me the best word to describe this design is "uninspired". It lacks imagination and identity.
It looks like a design by a the typical tuner wanabee manufacturer that grabs and engine here, a chasis there, designs an exterior and seels it like a new car to try to compete with the big boys. Mayor "fail" designwise IMO.
Their McLaren F1, now that was special and with character, instantly recognisable and still looks good to this day.

Thanks - interesting. I remember reading that one of the design priorities of the F1 was short overhangs (the term low polar moment of inertia rings a bell..). Intruiging that they compromised that goal for improved aero.
