I guess this is partly subjective but personally, unless the car is going to get a significant amount of track time, I don't like it at all. Looks ugly (I now many people won't notice it but you do), and especially on a white car since it may turn yellowish in time... if the front ever gets that bad, having it repainted it is a breeze, but I don't see how you cuold need to do it periodically from the use you and your wife will make of the car

Nick,
If I'm honest I "wasn't" a fan of the clear bra. Having seen it installed professionally, I have to say that it has changed changed my mind somewhat, albeit I do now know a lot more about the pitfalls. IIRC you have a base colour on your Fezza, not a metallic for instance so repainting isn't such a bad idea and certainly the option I would chose I think. If you were on a metallic I'd certainly consider PPF. However, having said this, I'd certainly think about protecting areas such as the inner sills, and areas which really do get peppered with road rash like the rear bumper low down at the bottom of the arch.
Read through this FAQ from one of the most respected PPF installers in the UK and it'll give you the low down and things to look out for. I'm not affiliated with them other than I did their website, but in doing so I found out a lot more than I first thought possible.

Answer partly depends on how much it would bug you when a rock chip appears on the nose... the first one does not justify a re-paint so do you touch up each chip as it happens? Film means never worrying about chips.
Another factor is how much coarse dirt is on the roads you typically drive; SoCal roads may be much cleaner than more northern latitudes where winter grit sandblasts everything for 6 months.
In my case... live in northern climes and chips bug me.. so film is a must and once decided, I just don't notice it.
