But you don't have a great car w/o it!
And porsche has usually missed that critical factor, except for the cgt and when you uncork a 928.
Considering the one-77 has 700 hp I think we can relax about its greatness,
It is also NOT a boy racer/track car, its real car a gt for the road.
I am surprised as last i read it had been delayed due to economic situation.

New video
Should be better quality in sight and sound for a video from AM but you do get a hint of how good the car will sound @1:30. Very smooth, high revving 12.
This car will rival the CGT for sound imo. The shape is very nice, wider and lower than other AM's. I hope they do a real nice HD video series for everyone to enjoy and to get some brand build-up from this model.
keep in mind this particular car is a tester with test equipment and an un finished engine bay.

WOW - this car looks so great!
Sound is amazing, too but the video looks like a race version. Doors have no interior cover, so this might be a different car anyway?
Have you seen those ugly white wires on 1:00? this mast be a pre-version.
Accelaration at 1:27 sounds just breathtaking!

No whites tires in that video, @1:00 is a view of the interior bases rear suspensions bits with a couple recording computers for testing data with wires coming out of them. I already said this is the test mule but it will be equivalent to the finished 77.
This car has already gone past 220 mph.

As stunning as it is, if you own one of the current Astons then you will see far too many similarities in the the one-77 to your own car. It has all been beautifully retrimmed but the instruments, the seat adjustment, the steering wheel, the doors (and I could go on) all seem to be basically the same components under the skin. Now I realise all manufacturers have to do this to some extent in their model range to save on costs, but given this is a limited run of only 77 cars and they cost £1M each, I for one would expect something rather bespoke and unique for the money.
I would still give my right arm for one though. Now then where did I leave that £900k+ for the trade in against my V8 Vantage... :)

Adam the only things I see similiar are the instrument pod shape and steering wheel and to some extent the seats, But only similiar in look not detail.
In fact this car is probably all new, especially when you get under the skin, look at the pics above. No car looks like that, And to make all these bits and pieces for only 77 units is amazing. The engine is all different internally. The body dimensins are all different compared to their other models.
No other Aston looks like this each piece has to be designed, then physically made and be made to look professional, like something made 1000's of times, not easy especially with CF.

I think you can see that no major parts are shared beyond the steering fluid resevoir

It's the same! just trimmed differently - look at the position of the seat adjustment and the basic layout of the button - look at the new dash layout (the pic you have shown above is the OLD dash layout not the new one).

again striking similarities - look at the basic layout of the stereo controls and buttons - under the skin im sure its all the same equipment. The doors are basically the same too - albeit it with cosmetic changes to the wing mirrors.
I have a new V8 vantage and i sit in it every day - trust me there are lots of similarities with the one-77 on the functional items items - its just cosmetically finished different (and much better). Im certain when it comes to the important bits i.e. the chassis and engine that its all new - but for £1M my point is I expected it all to be new - not just many many parts stolen from the existing parts bin.
