As much as I don't like the Panamera rear, I'm not too fond of the Aston Martin Rapide either, can't help it.
In my personal opinion, the most beautiful high performance limousine right now is the Maserati Quattroporte, which unfortunately can't keep up with the performance of the Panamera Turbo.
If I were looking for a high performance sedan, the Panamera Turbo would definetely be my first choice.
When the new BMW M5 shows up, my opinion could change though.

What video were you guys watching?
Like the guys says at the end the Aston is way better looking inside and out and he says more fun to drive.
Cool thing is my 928 looks better still and I would beat the rapide also. Does it rain so often in England that these guys and top gear have to constantly test in the rain?

The Aston Martin looks like and old british queen
What!...Like Elton?
It suits Elton but he (?) wouldn't fit in the back seat very well.
No one can now ever sit in the AM.... unless he wears a wig

This is no comparison. They are worlds apart. The AM will get destroyed in every single aspect. sorry.
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)
