haha i hope it gets a worthy wing! We're talking GTs and TTs here though. The classic Carrera needs to retain the basic shape and have something retractable.
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

thanks for posting the photos and the analysis--
I was surprised to see that World Car Fans was saying that it should be revealed at a major auto show before the year is up...
i didn't think we would see it until late winter 2012 at the earliest (Geneva perhaps) or in the spring of 2012... WCF is also saying the spy shots they have are of the 2011 911....
here's a link--

It all depends on the market and the demand for the Panamera and Cayenne. I have no doubt that the new Cayenne will be a big hit but as to the Panamera they are already piled up in the dealers lots. If the sales figure start to show a down trend as RC said we will see the new 911 (991) sooner than expected.

Well done Misha! I guess this will be the direction it goes! Keep that picture and next year you will see that you've been right!
Regarding that whole underneath the number plate, as the mules don't have it it probably will be closed, out of aerodynamically reasons.

Here's a little video that I found interesting.

I'm sorry, but I just can't seem to be able to embed it.
I think this car is going to be a stunner. There is something different about it stance.

Great Video!
As I stated previously I had the convertible for about 45 minutes ahead of me on the Autobahn. The car looks indeed so different to the 997! But - somehow it was difficult to point out the differences, but the whole appearance was different!
