I was told there is a front license plate mount supplied by Ferrari that is similar to the one supplied for the California which incidentally works well.
Do you have a pic of this? How does it work at the California? Does the front bumper get drilled?

Stefan,
I'll take a pic when I'm back home in a couple of days. It's a plastic frame similar to that fitted to the GranTurismo and to Boxsters/997s etc. It is drilled through the bumper though
Alright Iain, I see. So if they drill it through the bumper, for me there's no advantage if compared to a licence plate screwed directly to the bumper . The latter is the way my dealer attaches the plates and so far it worked well. And since you never remove the plates, even the holes don't bother.
In case of the 458 the only solution would be to attach the plate holder somehow to the black middle part of the bumper and then fix the plate at the mount.

Maybe something like this pic from Tamsen?
That plate looks like it's fixed directly to the bumper Kreso as it falls away from the car at the lower half. Here is a pic of mine where you can see the plate is vertical due to the mounting plate behind it. I'll take some close up pics on Wednesday.

Someone is going to get a ticket for driving on a public street without a front plate.
That someone is not going to care too much about that ticket if he abuses his Ferrari's tires like that and then crosses the nearby border into Germany for a fast run on unrestricted sections of the A5 Autobahn.

Some good pics of a 458 being detailed on this thread www.autopia.org/forum/pro-details-before-after/126444-ladies-gentelmen-fist-ever-detailed-ferrari-458-italia.html

Man that thing was in bad shape
Anyway, now I know what to do if the electric parking brake fails or where to connect the booster cables should the battery go dead
Slow In, Fast Out
Iain,
Not so sure about gunmetal wheels...
Pic 1-optional RMSV wheels
Pic 2-optional RMSV wheels with RICS option
See the difference?
Pic 3-standard wheels with RICS option
Pic 4-standard wheel with RICS option-close up
...and you post some pics that you posted on Fchat.
pjd:
Kreso, i see the difference but what is "RICS option"?
I like the wheels on Pic 2
RICS are the standard wheels painted in chrome finish.
What looks better at a rosso corsa car, silver or chrome finish?

For me personally RICS is a must option with standard wheels. I will order it. It looks so much better since RICS is actually not a chrome but, some kind of polished light gun metal color.
Kreso,
Having seen all the wheels on the various cars at the World Premiere and having seen the three layer yellow car there as well I think going for simple gunmetal wheels on a yellow car may be the way to go. I'd take the painted sports wheels with the diamond finish RICS option as my second choice but think they would detract from the three layer paint.
I may have to spec my car soon and still can't decide on my colour choice.
