    Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Say hello to our new family car:

    BMW X5 M

    Options:

    Black Sapphire Metallic

    Black Extended Merino Leather

    M Wheels Double Spoke 300 M

    Rearview Camera with Topview

    Climate Comfort Windshield

    Panorama Sunroof

    Rear manual side window shades

    Skibag

    USB Audio Interface

Navigation System Professional with full Internet access and bluetooth interface

M Driver's Package (Vmax 275 kph instead of 250 kph)

    BMW Individual High End Audiosystem

BMW Individual sun protection glass (rear, dark tinted)

The head-up display, optional in the US, is a standard option on German cars.

Delivery: end of March 2010, if I'm lucky February.

My wife keeps her M3 Cab DKG, so this is the perfect combo.

The photos are not showing our actual car but a similar one.

Congrats RC, now's the hardest part...the short wait  Smiley

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Congratulations, very nice car and a perfect combination of options! Only the informed ones will fathom the true potential of this car.

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Excellent choice RC! Use in good health! I am glad we agreed on the final choice Smiley

There is no try. Just do.

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Congrats Christian!  2-3 months will go by quick, though not quick enough

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Congrat! Any chance to have 7 seats with BMW Individual?

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Congrats RC, very good choice Smiley

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

I like it! The colour scheme and the wheels look very nice.

I think you made a rational choice going for the X5 rather than the X6.

Don't forget to order the 30d badges

It's not where you're going, it's how you get there that counts

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Congrats RC.  Great choice! Good to see another X5M on the forum.  I wonder if there is anyone else who has bought a X5M here besides us?

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Great choice  The best one you could of made for your family. Lets hope spring comes quicker this year

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

congrats RC... nice options.... and finally you pulled the trigger.

Does the X5M have the distronic option? (Abstandsregeltempomat) Its actually the only thing I would add if available.

The color combo is classic... Black is always nice looking and good for more understatment... I saw a dark grey X5 recently, and it looked sexy as well.

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

    Congrats Christian

You go for the best option for your needs and you get a great vehicle

    Enjoy it in good health.

Great that you finally found the perfect solution to the "Cayenne problem" SmileySmileySmiley

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

    Congrats!!!

now we need someone other to help to choose the right family car..

    997 TT, what a car/che'mmmmmaghena!!!

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

    Good for you!  Enjoy.

Now you have just enough time to make the move and pick it up at the factory and drive it at the performance center.

    Re: Bye Bye Cayenne, Hello...

Thanks, guys. Couldn't resist, dealer gave a HUGE rebate, absolutely unbelievable. Maybe this is the reason why BMW sells so many X5/X6M, it was impossible to get a stock car from BMW and I really tried hard, incl. "special" relations.

Congratulations, Conny ! Maybe we should open our own Bavarian X5 M Club. Smiley

Funny story: my wife's friend owned a X5 two years ago, it was the 3.0 Diesel I think.

Before I continue the story, you need to know that she hates sportscars and asked my wife if I'm in a midlife crisis because I own a 997 Turbo.

Today I told her that we're getting the X5 M and with a smile on her face, she said "finally you start to be a serious and adult person." When I told her that this X5 has 555 HP and does 275 kph, she was under shock. She didn't even know that such a X5 exists. It was a fun day, today. Smiley

I asked about it, don't know about other countries but in Germany, it is NOT possible.

What IS possible is the 3 seater rear seating from the X5 for the X6, this IS possible.

Congratulations, beautifully specced and seems excellent for your purposes Smiley

Congratulations , RC ! It looks like lots of fun. Smiley

If I had to replace our MBZ SUV today, that's what I'd get  ,too ( well, if US models have 7 seats )  !

Actually 4, I already have my deposit down for a X6M, but I am still deciding on color combo, either Carbon Black/Metallic Black with Red or black interior.

RC can always change the name a little to M-Rennteam, pretty sure no one is gonna noticed.
