Congratulations Dimitri, the first 458 order on the board
It's a small point but the launch car in your pic had two specific option differences from your spec -
black callipers as opposed to yellow
silver contrast stitching
With the Italians being masters of fashion, and less being more, I think they steered clear of yellow stiching as it was too much yellow against the exterior and they left out the yellow callipers as the solid yellow colour doesn't match the three layer yellow perhaps? I thought the silver stitching looked superb and you could put the grey seatlbelts with it for a bit of extra colour definition?
Whatever you go with it will look superb
isuk, i had the chance to meet stefan at the world premiere, and he told me you were there, unfortunately we didn't had the chance to meet, another time for sure.
i am ordering standard yellow not special yellow. i thought about white stitching , it will ook nice. my previous 430 was yellow withh yellow stitching i loved it. i wanna go full sporty setup. thats an unclear pic of my previous 430
I had white stitching on one of my 360's and it did not look good. I was sorry I ordered it. My last 430 had the heavier yellow stitching against a black CF interior and I thought it looked great. I even had the upper half of the steering wheel done in yellow leather.
If I order a 458, those are the seats to get. Have Racing seats in my F430 & love them. Besides making the look of the interior they're as comfortable as could be, even more comfortable than the adaptive sport seats in my Turbo. Comfort is personal preference, just make sure to order the right size specific to you (sure u know that) . And if you can't order CF race seats in a car like the 458 where can you. They totally belong imo.
I have black & red dual leather interior in my 430 but my car is Red. I wouldn't order red seat belts even 4 point on a yellow car, think they'll be out of place & stand out too much, they're a safety device, let the craftsmanship like the leather, stitching, CF be the areas that drawers your eye, your attention & become the focus imo.
I understand the parking sensors on a rear engined Ferrari (backing up is difficult) but I'm really against them, something about a 560hp race car w/ CCM's, racing seats, 4 point belts & then parking helpers doesn't fit imho.
On a yellow car w/ black interior, yellow calipers, shields - yellow stitching looks the most comprehensive & sharp.
The CF steering wheel is incredible! I have the CF in my F430 but the new one in the 458 is on another level, really amazing. Love the rest of the CF too, did that (full CF interior) w/ both my cars............. Great luck w/ the car!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats!
Obviously you don't have to answer but how much does your car sticker?

by the way isuk, what are those seats? they are unfamiliar? these r not standard seats..
I bought the car off the showroom floor Dimitri. It was a cancelled order as the seat centre sections were meant to have the diamond quilting pattern but someone in the ordering chain made an error and this is how they were stitched.

thanks all for the nice words, stefan, tpm wasnt on the option list, i asked they told me its standard.
I see. Interesting, my dealer told me, TPM will be optional.
Regarding your specs:AFS1: AFS system
ALIH: Headkiner alcantara upholstery
CALY: yellow calipers
CIDL: carbon fiber driver zone +led lights
CILR: carbon fibre central bridge
CSB1: Red seat belts
IPOD: Ferrari ipod
LOGO: scuderia shield on fenders
MIR2: int/ext elechtrocromic mirrors
NAVC: radio navigation +bluetooth
PARK: rear parking sensor
RMSV: painted 20" sport rims
RPMY : yellow rev counter
RSCH:racing seats
SHF1: rear shelf leather upholsory +lower bench
STC2: yellow special stitching
UALZ: upper part in alcantara
WHE4: spare wheel kit 20 inchIt's a rather sporty interior, with CF instead of aluminium, yellow stitching, alcantara headliner/roof and of course the racing seats. But I think that all works together well (personally, I would leave out the CF as well as the coloured stitching, but my car would not be yellow as well). I'm also not sure about the red seat belts, IMO they should be yellow in such a car. I'm also no fan of the leather rear shelf, because of two reasons: as Clarkson said, you get leather where you can't see it and when you order SHF1 you will get leather at the door moulding. The latter may look nice, but for me that's one part of a car, where I don't want leather.
Concerning the exterior, did you think about the PEXS (black side skirts), it may look good at a yellow car? And personally I would order the standard rims, as the sport rims show just too much of the brake for my taste and the design is taken from the 16M, so nothing original for the new car. I also like the design of the standard wheels better, but I guess I am in the minority here.

Stefan,
You are totally right. Just, as you know-we have pretty similar taste about 458...
PEXS is a MUST with Giallo Modena.
Dimitiri,
Giallo seat belts will look much better. Otherwise, nice and sporty Giallo 458.
Dimitri,
PEXS is exterior side skirts in Nero or Grigio Ghisa. With Giallo Modena, Grigio Titanio, Grigio Silverstone, Canna di Fucile, Grigio Medio, Grigio Medio, Grigio Ferro and Grigio Scuro optional PEXS cames in Nero. With ALL other exterior color in Grigio Ghisa.
Picture below: Giallo Modena TS with PEXS in Nero.
Rosso Corsa with PEXS in Grigio Ghisa and standard wheels:
Otherwise side skirts are in EXTERIOR color which looks totally wrong on 458 IMHO.
BTW, all 458s on Launch were with PEXS option.

Absolutely agree concerning PEXS.
Black or grey side skirts instead of body-coloured give the car a much leaner appearance when viewed from the side.
BTW, this pic of the red 458 Italia with standard wheels is my favourite of the new car, only thing that is missing are the shields.

so its basically unpainted side skirts kreso???
Not unpainted, Dimitri, but body-coloured.
stefan, kreso was saying that if you dont order pexs they come body coloured, if you order pexs they come in black.. am i missing something here?

No Dimitri, it is painted in Nero or Grigio Ghisa(both matt colors). It looks awsome in person and will be much more durable then side skirts in exterior color.
ok kreso.. now i get it. thanks for the info,!
is tpms standard in all market? and kreso do you know anything about the stock sound system? coz there is no upgraded sound system yet

Yes, awsome pic.
BTW, yours will be like the one on pic? Think about Argento brake calipers, they look better then standard Nero IMHO. Mine will be like Rosso Corsa one on pic above-only in Grigio Titanio with Shields.

That's the way it is, Dimitri.
Body coloured without PEXS, black or grey (depending on the colour chosen) with PEXS. In case of yellow PEXS would mean black side skirts.
