The secret of life is to admire without desiring.
Well, was expecting for slightly better acelerations results, maybe under 11sec to 200Kph and below 3sec to 100Kph. Anyway, these are already AMAZING results, but after seeing a 997.2 TT cab with two people making 3,2 and 11,3, was expecting a coupe with one person to make better.
Friend of mine had the chance to be at Estoril testing the car, and said it was absulately amazing. Place an order for one.

Thanks Stefan. I just got both AMS and SA.
Few personal comments from me.
-in gear acceleration(60-100 and 80-120) is out of this world. 997.2 Turbo PDK is probably the fastest car on the autobahn in 100-270km/h area. My guess is even faster then 458...
-engine is very drivable, PDK version without lag
-Hockenheim track time of 1.11,9min is actually good one, BUT R8 V10 manual also did 1.11,9min with normal tires.
-test results in both magazines are clear sign that new 997.2 Turbo is better in every aspect then 997.1 Turbo.
any car that does the 1/4 mile at or above 200km/h is sick fast........
great results for a daily driver with rear buckets and all wheel drive.
991 might just be the leader of the pack again !

im just thinking how fast will be the 991 with at least 550hp PDK and more and more tecnology!!!
0-200 = 10 flat seg?????
byebye 458
Before 991, there is also Turbo S coming early in 2010. Dealer says 550HP output others say 530HP.

wow that's a big leap forward! I did not expect 0-100 in 3.2s! wow well done porsche!
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

At least for me: it seems that one of the unnoticed improvements is the PTM. WR said the Mk1 was not perfect (with too much intervention of the diferential on the torque sent to the front). The Mk2 is smoother yet more predictable.
This was one of the things I didn't like on my 997 Turbo. The engine power was more than enough for me.
