No it will stay. They have too much in it. Also i want to see the V12 TDI and maybe a hybrid.
New R4 which is due to replace the TT chassis will also be according to the R8 principles so i doubt they will ex the big brother as it is their forward future model right now...
indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine.. I happen to like both :)

+1 Having achieved some kudos for the R8's position in the high-performance club, it would look odd to exit now. What is harder to see is where they take a Gen2 R8 from here; the styling is pretty unique, but I'm not a stylist. OTOH I can't see the R8 in Gen 9 version still being around in 2049 with only teeny styling changes, like some cars we could name....
