    (Old) Porsche Commercial

    NeilM brought my attention to this commercial. Brings back good memories for me Smiley.

    I showed the commercial to my wife and children. No exaggeration this is a near duplicate of my experience, except I was 17-18 at the time: Guards red Porsche Turbo with the huge hip and whale tale had my jaw hit the floor, circa 1976-1977. It was a dream for the next 30 years.

    There was a porsche club site from one of the east block countries that had every commercial/video known to man about Porsche but i have not been there in years and don't have the link.

     

    But you 6'rs should like this and it has not been posted here recently that I have seen (legal disclaimer - don't drive like this trained professional cloased course......)

    beautiful porsche ad. It  certainly did it for me, but i was already a fan. Im 23 but i saw a 930 turbo when i was like 12 and that did it for me.

    indeed shifting is ancient technology - so is a fuel burning engine..  I happen to like both :)

    Thanks.

    I remember the exact spot where I was standing in Regent Street in London when I first saw the new Turbo at the age of 18 (1974). It has been the only car I have ever wanted since and my dream finally came true exactly 29 years later, when, ignoring my wife's protestations, I took delivery of my 996TT beauty . Now, in December, I am on to my third, what joy!

    Can't explain why I love the below quick commercial, just think they did such a cool twist on a great song w/ cool video.  Click HQ for High Quality, make it full screen & turn it way up if you like.

    Just catchy imho, sticks in my head every time I hear it.

     cheesy. no wonder we haven't seen it much.

     

     

    I connected with it for numerous personal reasons. The parts I didn't like was to see rakes, shovels hanging on the wall by the 911 & putting pictures on the car. Smiley 

    But if you have any less cheesy ones, please feel free to post them, we could certainly use participation/contribution's.
