Lap no 55 at Nürburgring Nordschleife Thread Closed

This is my 55th lap at Nürburgring Nordschleife, definitly no attempt to drive a fast lap, but still a BTG around 8:29.
I have added the names of the bends of the track as I know them.
I'm open for suggestions regarding this..

The sound you hear is a bad "wheel bearing" that desperately needs to be changed.
The car is my track modifed 996 Turbo -01.

Nice car, I would love to make a trip to the 'ring. Someday...

Very nice Smiley Interesting that you also added some of the almost forgotten names like Kottenborn and Poststrassenbrücke, though Mutkurve sounds nicer than Angstkurve Smiley I would add the "Sprunghügel" to Pflanzgarten I instead of Pflanzgarten II - at least I prefer to do the jump at PG I, not PG II Smiley

I must admit that I never heard of the Belloff-Passage before - do you know the reason for the name at this specific spot ?

    Smooth driving Smiley

    This is a guess!

Beloff wrote off the 007 chassis of his 956 just one day after he set the 6:11.13.

I suspect that it was on that stretch of track.

Re: Lap no 55 at Nürburgring Nordschleife Thread Closed

Yes, your guess makes a lot of sense, spyderidol Smiley

Actually the 956 became airborne (and then rolled more than once) exactly at the end of the Pflanzgarten section.

    BTW:
If any of you feel that you don't have any clue about the names of different the bends at the Ring maybe you should take a closer look at my "Ultimate NÜRBURGRING Satellite Picture".

It's a picture that I have spent many hours on trying to get as much info regarding the Ring and its surroundings on as possible.
It is developed in the same way as a photo on Fuji film with the size 100x70cm.

Another interesting event I attended on two weeks ago at a Swedish track..

Engine: 2,0L Renault engine with 220hk (related to Clio Renault Sport 2.0 16V)
    Acceleration: 0-100km/h på 2,3 sec
    Top speed: 270 km/h
Transmission: Sequentially controlled, dog-clutch box with 6 forward gears, changeable ratios, self-locking differential
    Tyres: Michelin

This was definitely mindblowing and something I hope to do again.

Entertaining sparetime activities you have! Great to have you on the board!

Tell us a bit more about the Formula Renault event, how does it perform? I assume acceleration and aerodynamics are most impressive...

It appears that the 100x70cm poster of the satellite photo of the Nurburgring Nordschleife is being sold by McBurn4ever.

A polite request: in accordance with Rennteam policy, please do not advertise your own commercial products on Rennteam. Many thanks.

    Quite hostile attitude..
Seems that you don't have any problem asking for things for free, but as soon as someone asks to get payed for their expenses you show a different side of your self.
Very sad since my intention with the poster never has been to make money, only to help other Nürburgring fanatics who, just as me, have been looking for one picture with "all" info on..

    easy_rider911:

Hi there and welcome to Rennteam Smiley

Thanks for your thread on the NBR. It would be great if you could please email me the large photo to the following email address:

    Thanks v much Smiley

    Cheers

I have tried to edit/erase my post unsuccessfully.
Maybe you can help me? I would prefer if the whole thread was removed..

Many thanks and sorry my unpolite behaviour.

    @McBurn4ever: "Quite hostile attitude.."?

Since you have chosen to discuss this issue publicly, I will also reply to you publicly.

You were very politely and warmly welcomed by myself (as a Moderator) and by other Rennteamers on this thread.

    McBurn4ever:

    ....

If you are interested send a mail to:
[post edited in accordance with Rennteam policy by easy_rider911]

    ....

You invited enthusiasts to contact you in order to obtain the 'ultimate Nurburgring picture' you have put together. You never mentioned on this thread that it was a printed poster and that you would charge for this item.

Rennteamers regularly help and advise each other. Rennteamers also share information, photos, documents etc and, in all the years I have been participating on Rennteam, Rennteamers have not charged each other for such things. However, if you wish to do that then that is, of course, your choice.

I contacted you very politely to ask if you would send your ultimate Nurburgring satellite photo to me. It is, of course, your right to decide with whom to share your photo (and therefore your effort/work).

You posted my PM here (including my personal email address - and surely I should not have to remind you that you should not post other people's personal data on the internet without their permission).

However, you have conveniently not posted the PM you sent to me in which you made it clear that you were selling a poster (and not sharing a photo).

    Here is your PM:

    McBurn4ever:

    Hi,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
    What large photo?
If you mean my sat picture over Nürburgring that is a big poster that I sell.
The original digital picture i huge, and because of the time I have put into it, something I would like to keep to my self.
    I hope you understand..

    Regards [...]

I therefore politely requested (on this thread) that you should not advertise on Rennteam items that you are selling. Rennteam does not exist to provide free advertising for vendors.

While you are selling a poster of your 'ultimate Nurburgring picture', at the same time, you have conveniently overlooked the fact that you expect to be able to advertise your item for sale for free on Rennteam.

Surely this contradiction should not be lost on you.

You later explained on this thread that your charge is intended to cover your expenses. This does not fit with your explanation that you wanted to charge given the work/effort you had put into this picture i.e. that you wanted to be rewarded monetarily for your work/effort. I would suggest in future that you pick one story and not change your story to suit your needs.

I have replied to you on this thread politely (explaining how you have breached Rennteam policy on selling items and on misusing personal data) even though you did not extend the same politeness to me.

Frankly, it never ceases to surprise and disappoint me how people who breach clear and well-established rules can find fault with everyone except themselves.

Regarding editing/deleting posts/threads, you may be aware that, after a certain period of time, posts/threads cannot be edited or deleted except by Moderators/Administrators.

This thread is now being closed.
