    Personally, I understand people who are ordering Rosso Ferrari because of its heritage. Just, heritage is in this case IMO part of the history, not present or future...


    This car looks good in every colour, but personally I would prefer it to be rosso or giallo. Smiley

     It it had the standard wheels in silver and rosso interior it would be perfect combo, exactly the way i'd have it.

    Dark colors don't suit the 458, at least in pics. You can't even see the fantastic lines of the car...

    The way the front plate is fixed on the red car with stickers (second picture from top) is not bad.

    People at the end I decided for the callipers Alluminium for my 458 black daytona!!! 

    Alluminium is more elegant than red!!!!     

    And I add also the Hi-Fi Premium ...the standard one has only 8x25 watts

    What do you think about??

    Why does Ferrari always got crappy sounds systems?? Can't they come up with something semi decent?!!

     Get yellow calipers which would match the shield and the center wheel piece. A very elegant look. Silver calipers look cheap (factory furnished) on a black car.

    BTW, the Stereo upgrade as I indicated earlier is a waste of money. Not only do you not enjoy the music because of the engine exhaust but two ugly speakers are located directly between the seats on the back bench and frankly they look like crap.

    I note you live in the US and are you ordering a car now?

    No nberry, itìs not the truth....

    The yellow callipers are orribles because if you put it you have three differents graduations of yellow !!!!!!!   (a type of yellow in the center of the wheel, another  diifferent yellow in the shields, and at last another one different graduation of yellow for the callipers....)....! !

    The Alluminium callipers are more elegant and matches better!!

    About the Stereo Hi-Fi Premium is the best choice you can do, first of all because the original Stereo System is only 8x25 watt (the Toyota Yaris has a better one..!!) and then because the JBL Professional is one of the best Hi-Fi makers in the world and the Power is over 8x90 Watt with 2 digital subwoofer..!!!!

    And it's not true that the speakers looks like crap because instead the speakers have been insert also  in the SAME colour of the interior in a very elegant way and enrich all the compartment!!

     Today I saw my first 458 (Red/black/carbonbrakes)at the dealer in Zug/Switzerland - actually a demo model  asking me if I want to drive it....despite not being a customer there which I felt was very generous. It was hugely tempting - but declined....at this stage....The car looks in flesh much smaller than I thought but nevertheless a complete stunner . Price was 285k Sfr - actually on par with a SLS or Turbo S cab - the scuderia used was more expensive (?). Waiting list 12 month they said.... - sorry no pictures as Blackberry is useless as camera...

    I don't want to interupt this daytona black/red caliper discussion but I also think that yellow would be best since the shield and the center wheel pieces are also yellow. Yellow tach and yellow stiching would make the finish perfect. Smiley

    Aren't the shields optional?And I remeber seeing optional center wheel pieces in 4-5 different colour combinations-that would sort 3-shades-of-yellow problem if you really like yellow calipers

    Unless you're a perfectionist (considering you wanted red calipers with Daytona Black I doubt it Smiley) you would not be able to distinguish the slight variation in color shades. You're missing the symmetrical aspect to yellow /black combination.

    Frankly, I could care less how your car looks. But as a service to a fellow Rennteamer, we would be remiss in not pointing out your potentially terrible mistake.Smiley
