KresoF1:
According to German price list(and new catalogue) new GT3 RS is available only in 3 colors.
Grauschwarz is Sonderlackierung option.
You can not order it without stickers(wheels, front intake etc. are painted any way).
Wheels are available in Silver as non-cost option.
Too bad... plain white would have been my choice, the last thing I need is to draw more attention from the police.

it would be so cool without the graphics and just a ducktail.....so so cool....but this way it ain't
This can be done very easily after purchase, if you desire...

At this price the PCCB's are not standard?!
And the steel brakes are the same as on the GT3? If yes, those are some damn good brakes
On the 996 and 997.1 RS's, they also used the same brakes as the standard GT3. Nothing new here...

This is Rennteam, home of Porsche freaks, petrolheads/gearheads, real car enthusiasts, and you guys are complaining about... decals and color scheme ? True, decals are over the top but this is a track car anyway, not a car to make eye contact while cruising down 5th.
Besides, those who don't like them will do something about it. It's not a flawed car just because of some stupid decals. Where are all the talks about performance, weight distribution, gear ratios, tires, aerodynamics, etc. ?

Thank you! Decals are a minor issue and you will probably be able to spec one without them. As for performance numbers, 0-160 in 8.1 and 0-200 in 12.2 is faster than a 997.1 turbo. 450hp out of 3.8 liters is damn impressive. I am anxious to hear about lap times and downforce numbers.
porsche need not go with ricer....it's the subtlety of the 911 that has always attracted me.
if i want loud and screaming looks i would go for an F or an L.
I love this car!!! God please make me win the lottery!!! If there is enough money I will buy two, and one I will give it for free on Rennteam!!! We will organize another lottery!!!
I think this car looks just fabulous!!!
This car is AWSOME. I wouldn't change a thing.
Is it me or this time they really tried to differentiate the RS vs the regular GT3 this time around?
More hp, more options, much better chassis. How much lighter?
For the ones who think it is too flashy, get a regular GT3. The RS is supposed to be that way, not just another stupid boring grey 911 out there... Thanks to Porsche for not letting people ordering it without the decals.

55 pounds lighter in US Spec before options (PCCB, A/C delete, radio delete, Lightweight headlights, etc. would make it lighter still).
I think the lower gearing will help alot...

OMG what a beast! I think porsche hit another stepping stone here. Showing us the 997.2 GT3 blew me away, and then to increase the distance between GT3 and RS over the MK1 is job well done!!
I love some of the stickers, but who cares. Porsche brought us a true masterpiece once again!!!
Hmmm it stays true to history bringing back decals from the 930s, interior stuff from the 964s and modern touches!! Beset of all ONLY MANUAL!! go buy a ferrari poseurs ;)

I´ll leave the decals, I need the lottery because I can´t afford more than the Boxster. The price of this car, is way beyond my limits. By the way I will like to see the video on youtube with you removing the decals and the spoiler...

I agree with you, however it will make Porsche think twice not to offer the car with decals if there is so much complaints here. Just remember there move reg. PDK steering interface.
One couldn´t find any detailed information about the weight saving efforts and modifications on suspension in the press release, I assume they have gone with polycarbonate screens (as in 997 GT3 RS) in the back and altered suspension bits (as 996 GT3 RS)?
trip:
Well apparently the graphics are painted on so not so easy I imagine. Shouldn't you be able to order it without graphics through Porsche Exclusive? Although the wing is a bit extreme, I'm sure it provides massive downforce!
Are you sure that the decals are painted? I'd be surprised and gutted - they need to go before the car can be driven in daylight

Yes, there is polycarbonate rear window (not in US) and the rear suspension wishbones are split for additional camber range of adjustment.
