    I absolutely love it, I love how focused it is, how pure it is, I love the nostalgic details, those doorstraps are so cool...

    I don't understand people nagging about the decals, look what's underneath... Celebrate that Porsche still makes an analog supercar, celebrate that they have the guts to make something this focused and put in on sale.

    I'm thankful for this!

    porsche should focus more on technology. the last design variants be it of boxter, cayenne or now this are simply silly.

    i do not like to look as if i've just driven off the set of too fast too furious.....

    I am thankful too. but given that they want real money for the cars and a lot at that they should listen to their customers. I really dont like all these go faster stripes. Love that but not the color scheme.

    It shouldn't be that hard to recieve your car without stripes and colours, or remove them once you have the car...

    They'd be gone on mine asap too, but what's left then is a great machine...

    I love the increased power specs for the new RS.   Porsche did the car right from that perspective.  Too bad the exterior looks like only a car Vin Diesel could love with all of those horrid graphics and over the top rear spoiler...

    Well so much for stealth if you get the full monty!  Seriously I'm with those that focus on the car underneath retro bling. The decals are easily discarded and should not obscure what will be a real pleasure for the lucky owners.

    Yup, I love what it is, but the decals are over the top. If I would be in the position to order one, I would order it in the grey, without the decals, and without the colored accents. The colored accents in the interior are fine imo.

    Yes, its the same story in the UK - its within £1000 of the price of a Turbo, which makes it 23% more expensive than a GT3!  Thats a hell of a hike in price this time.  Still I guess you get the folding buckets, PADM and carbon sills (by the looks of the web special site) all as standard over the GT3 spec.

    I know the door pulls are what a lot of RS owners wanted but pulling a bit of chord to close the doors on a £100K car is not something I would be happy with.  Seriously how much weight do these save - If you look closely on the pic with the door open you can see small buttons above the chords so I suspect there is still some electronics at work behind the pulls.

    You dont pull the string to close the doors but OPEN them. A joke if you ask me. They simply changed the handle with string. No real redesign... oh well thanks for the color choices there is no risk that I will buy one.

    overall the new RS look very cheap, but not the price, I want my deposit back.

    I would get rid of the stickers, but actually like the red in the bumper and the red wheels. The wing I'm not so sure, maybe a bit too much, liked the one on the 997.1 GTS RS better..

    According to German price list(and new catalogue) new GT3 RS is available only in 3 colors.

    Grauschwarz is Sonderlackierung option.

    You can not order it without stickers(wheels, front intake etc. are painted any way).

    Wheels are available in Silver as non-cost option.

    In the thread there is one profile shot without the RS graphics.

     

    In every other case it appears that the GT3RS graphics on the right side of the car are mounted atop the fender and would be upside down.

    The decals and neon colors of most GT3's are silly and I would imagine tough to live with past a week or 2.

    But the wing on this is Horrible. Looks like an ironing board. And metal legs - really cheap.

    Aesthetically it does the boy-racer crowd proud. Perhaps the marketing department thought the car needed to make more of a visual statement to compete with the dramatic Italian designs? I really like the car minus the accents. When they say that this iteration is taking the performance to a new level why not offer a real club sport interior with a no-cost delete option for the A/C, NAV/radio system and power windows? Does it have thinner glass and less sound deadining? I just think they could make this a little more menacing with simplicity. A no frills, mean car that speaks to those who only want to hear and feel the car.
