I like this piece of news. Hope it's true:
"Porsche is aiming for significant weight improvements and increased efficiency and this is reflected in the less bulky design.
Reports suggest that as much as 200kg could be shed from the Cayenne, with the weight loss being used to improve efficiency and performance and handling."
200 kg are not very realistic but I heard that a version with the "basic" 4WD system could be 100 kg less than the current Cayenne generation (depending on model and options). Considering the improved aerodynamics and the more powerful engines, this surely sounds nice and promising.

combo3010:
since the Cayenne have to further differentiate itself from audi Q7 and VW Tourareg, we should expect major price increases for the next gen cayenne.
due to its similar interiors with Panamera, My guess is at least 15% bump in price.
That would be a brave move in case of a SUV.

Joost:
What is it with all those weird jumps in the rear light cluster design lines?
What is wrong with a "monolithic" shape with simple lines?
I quite like the look of the "newer" designs, especially Audi's. Audi makes some of the best looking cars out there now, esp the S5.
