Iam surprised (and happy) the stock GT-2 did so well. I thought the ZR1 would easily take it in a mile.
This test (and the test they did some months ago) is actually consistent with other acceleration tests. For example, AMS covered both the ZR1 and the GT2 in their last high-speed test where the GT2 was slightly faster up to 300kph than the ZR1
In summary one can conclude that both cars offer a very similar performance. The interesting thing is that the GT2 does this with 90hp less

Correction 108 Hp less
If a Nissan, for instance, were beating cars with 100 hp more, can you imagine the controversy?
ALL HAIL THE _CORVETTE_! What a miracle car! Created by the car company with the worst reputation for quality, it also has the distinguished styling of a teenager's Batman fantasy.
Need more evidence of it's superiority?
Not only is it cheaper, is just as good as, and performs "better" than the overpriced Porsche (thus proving Porsche owners are fools), it also shows it's unrivaled versatility as best all around "sports" car by the attached photo:
(just joking )

this video is not true.... the gt2 is fast, but just not as fast as the ZR1...
from a roll till 200km/h or stand start the gt2 will beat it.. but after that, anything above 180~200km/h the gt2 cant keep up...
Unfortunately, the test data available so far (see above links) contradict your opinion. The ZR1 is slower than one would expect - given its hp output. The GT2 with approx. 100hp less is as quick (or even slightly quicker) in all speed ranges up to 300kph. Check the AMS data above to see how both cars perform in the verious speed ranges.

sorry tests in different days and situations may be very different, you dont know idea how i would like to see a GT2 beating a ZR1, but its very unkind believe in this thing...
the Z06 is a very fast car, how can the ZR1 with 140hp aprox more and few wheight more(60kg) not beat the gt2?
sorry

The tests we are talking about were done on the same day with identical test conditions (as is the video above)...
