I can't imagine why anyone would want a manual transmission in such a large 4 seater car I can imagine buyers will want comfort and refinement rather than an exhilarating drive.

I appreciate PDK and those that prefer it, but why is it difficult to understand that others (like me) prefer what we perceive as a better man-to-machine interface? I know that the PDK will shift faster than I'll ever be able to, but to me, it is less engaging, less challenging, takes less skill and just isn't as fun.
btw, I prefer sailboats to motorboats. Is that a problem for PDK enthusiasts as well?
Oh, I have one more confession - I've driven manual transmission 5-Series BMWs for 20 years. Mea culpa.

Of course we understand, there is a certain charm about rowing your own gears even if it's slower, more error prone, more effort, etc.
But it seems like it's Porsche itself that do not understand the last of the dinosaurs, it's Porsche that decides Panamera will come with PDK and not manual or automaitc, it's Prosche that decides to go with PDK after their numerous workshops and focus group gave them the answer. Maybe you can talk to Porsche and with enough complaints from the diehard stick drivers Porsche might just offer what you wish, but then again it might copy BMW and just give some half-ass effort.
