It looks like a modern interpretation of Audi´s own Perlmutt white of the 80ies. Funny, just considered such a colour for the R8 V10.
I've seen a couple of monochrome R8 this week (one silver and one black) and they appeared more good looking to me than the two-colour schemes.
I don't know maybe because I don't see monochrome that often.

It's not where you're going, it's how you get there that counts
I disagree here. R8 is all about contrast side blades. If you do not like it-R8 is not the car for you.
KresoF1:The silver one had silver blades but of slightly different tone or texture. Good effect for me.

If you mean Ice Silver metallic with Apollo Silver side blades like on the pic below I agree. Just Brilliant Red with Brilliant Red looks totally wrong for example IMHO.
