Well white fits the car better then blue, but still, i really like mine more.
I do agreee with that it's a GT3 and then the car has a better grip on the road and, and.......... But i'm still not ok with this uge wing.

The wing looks much steeper than the wing on our cars - maybe the main reason for the claimed higher downforce ?
As for the looks of the wings: somehow the move from the MKI wing to the MKII wing reminds me of the design changes from the "banana leaf" 996 GT3 MKI wing to the "ironing board" wing of the 996 GT3 MKII

True, the angle seems to be very steep. I'lkl see if I can find out some more about that.
Now that you say it, the conversion from 996.1 (folding taco) to 996.2 shows a lot of similarities, designwise!
However, for the 996, I found the mk1 absolutely stunning, and couldn't get used to the mk2. For the 997, this seems to be the other way round.

I agree regarding the 996 As for the 997 I reserve judgement until I've seen the real thing.
Here are some more pics of the white GT3:

997 TT, what a car/che'mmmmmaghena!!!
I think both look great, but I wouldn't paint the front spoiler in body colour.
The secret of life is to admire without desiring.

Very interesting interview from Chris Haris from Drivers-republic about the new GT3

I prefer the white color, too BUT that rear wing is too big for the rear design IMO.
It is even worse than TT RS wing

Gents, I think we need to harden the f#k up about the rear wing...
Unlike many other manufacturers, Porsche put it there to fulfill a purpose... increased downforce, not bling-bling... As was clearly indicated in the interview on DR republic (link above), downforce was increased nearly 3 fold... thats a big difference and the only way to achieve it is through a combination of surface area and shaping... A concern with the 997.1 was downforce and high speed stability... they've attempted to address the issue... Who here has seen a discreet wing on an F1 car or a touring car??? I think not...
So if its too bold for people, stick with the 997.1 gt3 and enjoy the downforce disadvantage or better yet, just go for a Carrera whos wing neatly tucks away so you can never be called a boyracer...
Simply put, it was used to fulfill a purpose, not for show... and thats the compromise...
