    New Lip for Turbo Babe (TechArt Spoiler Pictures)

    $$ continues to pour into my Turbo post Bilstein and Cargraphic exhaust, now that I am assured she's a keeper for many years and the love has deepened into obsession Smiley.

    Kidding aside, having replaced  the wheels and that trapezoidal exhaust tip, the one last weakness of the Turbo exterior design remains that front spoiler in my opinion. It is thin and therefore "weak" looking. I have lusted after the Techart lip on eclou's car for a long, long, long time but couldn't justify the horrendous $2400. When I saw one on ebay for a much more reasonable 800, well...

    I have polished my factory Turbo now in many ways...

    I have fixed the looks with P40's, I have fixed the lag with a CG powerkit, I have fixed the sound with a CG exhaust and air-filter, I have fixed the suspension with Bilstein Damptronics and I have fixed the heal and toe with cermaic brakes issue with Rennline pedals. 

    It is now close to being the Mary Poppins of cars - "practically perfect in every way".

    Then you start tempting me in new directions!!!  Damn that looks good; stop it Can!

    Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

    Alex, yes I know. Once you see this versus stock, there is really no going back. The only problem for me is I now have to go back on all my previous photoshoot locations and redo the  pictures. Smiley Anyway, the bad news is this thing is a sobering US $2400, give or take 10-15% discount maybe. The good news is I actually think the front TechArt lip alone looks better than the whole kit -- strictly personal preference and don't mean to be critical of any car with it -- so there is an end to the bad news. To my eyes whole kit makes car looks heavy and a little "added-on" as seen in picture below.

    Re scrape, o-n my 10mm-lowered car, the TechArt lip scrapes perhaps a little less than the stock lip because of the way it's shaped. eclou (I think?) told me this prior to my TechArt purchase and I've found it to be true.

    BTW if you look carefully, you'll see the skid plate made for me by a local Porsche shop, RSS/Stuttgart Performance http://www.stuttgartperformance.com (also happens to be the US Distributor for Cargraphics).
    It's ABS plastic that was cut using a custom made pattern that Stuttgart had created for this particular TechArt lip for a prior customer. It's about 1 inch across, 2-3 feet long per side, about 1/4 inch thick and it runs along the edge of the spoiler. After the initial cut using a water saw, the ABS leading border was chamferred and attached onto the spoiler with counter-sunk rivets. So the $$$ lip is now very well protected.

    Wow Cann, really nice! I always loved the front lip for the 996 turbo made by sportec:

    OMG cannga, that spoiler makes it SO MUCH MORE MUSCULAR!!! I love it especially in red. Good buy as it really completes the design. Must post more pictures!!
