    Too Fussy? Fit of PCM in My Dash

    This has been bothering me since I got my '08 C4S last year.  There is a noticeable gap between the PCM modules on the driver's side, and the housing.  The lower module is also slightly out of alignment with the upper module (screen).  Has anyone else had this issue and if so, was Porsche able to fix it?

    Sounds unusual. It would bug me too. Probably a warranty item which your dealer can help you with. Good luck.

    I don't know if you can see it very well in the picture, but the top and bottom modules are out of alignment on the  left side.  I was also wondering, as I don't have an all leather interior, i.e. no stitching around the console housing, if this is the reason there is a noticeable gap around the console, between it and the housing.  Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

    The plastics on each side of the PCM module are  separate removable pieces. Perhaps the left one doesn't sit well on its support or its support needs some adjustment.

    Obviously your PCM module cannot be narrower than standard so this is the only explanation.

    A technician familiar with the 997 can easily remove this piece and see.
