Frankly, no. Leaves a lot to be desired to my ears. Whether in normal mode or sports mode, the pneumatic valves open very suddently (at 4 resp 3Krpm) and the transition sounds gimmicky and artificial. If you stick the valves open, the resonnance at 2700rpm is unbearable unless you have the roof and windows open. And even then, my old 996 Carrera 2 sounded better, and a 997 Carrera S with PSE is heaven on earth in comparison.

Unfortunately, AFAIK I can reassure you Europipe doesn't manufacture central muffler bypass for 997.1 GT3. At least they weren't used to. Please let me know if you have any updated info, I would seriously consider that.

That's old news.
They most certainly now do, I have a picture, a quote, and a leadtime from them.
What I don't have is user testimonials, videos or anything that could help decide whether to go for this instead of Sharkwerks.
zeshark,
If i would buy, then this between this 2
by the way tha's the company which produces the original Porsche 997 GT2 exhaust

Thanks, Andrea.
I do not even dare asking the cost of the Akrapovic system. I am not sure I want to spend 1KCHF by saved kilo or gained HP, all I am looking for is something which gets rid of the on/off nature of the pneumatic valves, but does not incur this unbearable drone at 2700rpm when you leave them open. A natural, progressive, characterful exhaust note.
zeshark,
So if you are in switzerland with the GT3 you simply go to AMAG Schinznach bad and they install you a switch where ever you like to switch off the valves, like i have istalled.
i did'nt like this off and on from the exhaust sound.
the price for do the installation is around 500chf.
regards bruno
I already have a pneumatic bypass, can keep the valves open or shut all the time, and it cost me substantially less than the 500 CHF AMAG would ask for to put a switch. Does not remove the drone at 2600-2800 rpm though. I want it both ways, should not be too much to ask from Porsche:
- nice progressive & characterful noise without on/off artificial transitions
- no headache inducing drone throughout the rev range
