    Man Maths.... help!!

    Oh oh - dropped my vantage in to have a paint fault rectified earlier in the week...

     

    Now as you do on these occaisions had a look around the showroom - was looking at a Roadster... sales guy happens to mention that they've a couple of unregistered MY08 4.3 cars that they have now been authorised to discount by £30k!!! Now actually I don't 'need' the extra power of the 4.7, have heard the 4.3 sounds better, and actually prefer the wheels and centre consol of the earlier car... so I'm starting doing sums.. this can only lead to trouble... significant birthday coming up, missed our companies layoffs (OK - perhaps this should tell me something that I shouldn't be looking until econmy picks up)...

    You already answered your question. The 4.3 sounds better, you don't need to 4.7's power, and you like the wheels and the interior more which is were you spend ...ohhhh...100% of your time when you're inside the car. 

    So trade down or up, depending on how much you get for your current car.

    Don't forget you can upgrade the 4.3 engine to N400 specs and put an exhaust... Good for 420hp...

    4.3 is solid and rocks.... the Spider is great....the economy will pick up or not either you buy or dont buy that car ;) But - you only live once!

    I don´t know how it´s your business situation ; but sometimes it´s better wait for a better enviroment to change the car, no after companies layoffs, because even when the buy of the new car is better economy speaking. People usually only see the change for a new car, no more and if this it could be bad for the companies, if I were you I will not do...

    But,...this factors don´t mind, or the car will not be see in the business enviroment..or you don´t think that it could cause problems...As Lars997 said "you only live once".

    For example, in my situation it´s possible that I have to delay the buy of my new sport car until the economy picks up; because if I change my car for one better, it will be bad for the business of my family. (disadvantages of life in a small region/ country with a "special" culture in this aspect)

     I will have to wait to better times.

    Good luck with your decision and congrulations for your incredible car! =)
