If we were GT-R owners, we really would not want to know! 
I was only kidding and certainly do not know. 
But that's nothing to be ashamed of. 
After all, even Nissan didn't know that the transmissions were going to fail en masse, otherwise they wouldn't have released it for sale to the public. Would they? 
Seriously though, my comment was prompted by a thread on some other forum which someone here posted a link to. Some GT-R owner managed to break a crankshaft, but if I remember correctly, its engine had been tuned, so Nissan cannot be blamed for that.
