SLC interior pics

I found the news in deutsch...

Im Herbst 2009 soll der SLC (W197) auf der IAA 2009 der Weltöffentlichkeit das erste Mal gezeigt werden. Er wird als klassischer Flügeltürer wie der 300 SL von 1954 angebotet. Im Frühjahr 2010 wird er dann an die Kunden ausgeliefert. Angetrieben wird der SLC von einem 580 PS starken 6.2 Liter V8 AMG-Triebwerk (M156). Die Kraft wird über ein 7-Gang Doppelkupplungsgetriebe, dass in Transaxle Bauweise direkt vor der Hinterachse sitzt, an die Hinterräder übertragen. Dadurch erhält der SLC eine ausgeglichene Gewichtsverteilung für ein super Handling. Insgesamt sollen rund 10.000 Einheiten pro Jahr in Sindelfingen vom Band laufen. Der Preis liegt bei ab 150.000 EUR. (Fotos AB)

Sorry - don't think I like the styling execution on the interior.

Too cluttered for such a small area and it looks chintzy on the materials.

When will they learn that less is more :)

I actually don't mind it. Interested to see what this will be priced at. Btw, this is my first post on Rennteam 2.0! Found it hard to use and didn't bother for awhile.

Actually I kind of like it, too. Its different! Plenty of leather, nice aluminum - well done!

The press is saying they will build 10.000 cars in Sindelfingen for apprx. 150.000 €

@WAY: Great to have you back. I promise, after the seconde post you will see its not more difficult as before.

Thanks Lars!

Has anyone here ordered one of these? I am tempted. I would prefer it if it uses the 63 engine instead of the new turbo one that they are working on though.

@WAY: not ordered yet, but I feel tempted, too. Will talk to my dealer soon to ask about pre-order registration. This will not be a risk as you always can step back again after seeing the car in real.
