With the greatest of respect, Vikki, if you do a search for PSE, next to main index at top of page, you'll find everything you could possibly want on the subject - i.e. pros/cons, (don't seem to be any cons) prices, always on mods, switches, even sound clips.

I'm still waiting for my PSE to be fitted - on back order at all OPC's

Re: If you have PSE exhaust..what are your thoughts

THANK YOU...I see lots of info now

My advice is do the full install (which means include the switch). It is more costly (installation estimate for me was $300 for no switch vs $800 w/ switch). But at least you can have the option of turning off PSE when you want to.

Re: If you have PSE exhaust..what are your thoughts

I am gonna fork out the money for the switch so I can have on and off choice...I just want that, everyone tells me to run it open all the time..

Re: If you have PSE exhaust..what are your thoughts

I found the system for $1895 online order w/UPS
    I have the link

    I like my switch also.
Last Sat. night, after a great meal with 2 glasses of wine, driving home with the top down and a cigar in my hand, PSE blasting through all the stops in town,
feeling great. Came up to a police car making the same left turn at an intersection.
Glad to have the switch to turn off the PSE before driving off.

    Just my opinion.

Love that, from exhausting away to quiet as a mouse instantly!!
Yes, the switch is for me 2.

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

    Vikki,
Got mine installed on a midnight blue 997S, 2 weeks ago...Absolutely love it....I had the electronics installed as well... definately the way to go...sometimes you DON'T want to trumpet your arrival and the switch gives you that option. There's also the wow factor of being able to adjust the exhaust sound at will...

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

Your car is beyond beautiful wow
I am excited to get the system......

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

Get the switch but DO the mod... Night & day difference. Never want it off!

PSE looks almost as good on Midnight Blue as it does on Black!

    That's how I do it.

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

i installed pse with vacuum tubes no switch. by connecting/disconnecting hose you can have pse always on or always off. if you are going to use the "mod" to have pse on all time avoiding the cut off no sense to do the switch wiring. my 2c

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

As the others have said, PSE is well worth it Do the mod as well, I've never looked back!

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

I can't wait to hear it Vikki!!! I am still a bit torn over the AWE system, but am still considering PSE.

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

I have the PSE on my new CS. I like it, but am not sure if it is the best performing option. It left me needing to do headers and cats. I tend to always want more sound. It is great because of the switch and the fact that it is OEM.

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

My C2S has it on the order.

What "switch" are you talking about? The factory PSE is enabled when the Sport button is on.

Are you guys/gals installing an additional switch just for the PSE?

    Regards,
    Deanski

I was actually talking about the electrical work between the PSE and the sport button switch (the switch which already exists if you have sport chrono). Sorry about the confusion.

No problem. But I believe someone on RENNTECH is trying to ADD a PSE button for on/off regardless of the Sport Switch. Now THAT would be a welcome thing! Being able to switch it on/off at will without trying to mess with your Sport mode I think is a cool addition.

Imagine sneeking up alongside a rice car and his/hers "coffee can" exhaust as that person listens to your car until you hit the loud switch.

    Regards,
    Deanski

Re: Having choices = Pure Porsche Pleasure

Any issues for having the PSE working all the time ? Does Porsche allow that ?
