Cold Air Kit Upgrade

Hi there...

Any one have the 997 FAB SPEED Cold Air kit on 997s....?

Do you recommend it for the car?

is there any problem instilling it?

Single handily the biggest piece of crap I ever bought. Don't waste your money. I put it on and took it right off. In my opinion anyone who tells you that it's worth it, is just trying to make themselves feel better about spending 400 dollars on a piece of rubber tubing.

The cold air kit is bad. Have you ever considered the V-flow by evoms? I just ordered it, and from what i have heard, the system is great, and of course, much better than fabspeed.

Chili: I would definitely reply to this thread about the EVOMS intake once i have it installed. I will recieve it tomorrow and will have it install along with my HR springs, Short shifter and the intake. I looking forward for it!

I've got both for about 5 months now...

No problems... i cant tell the diff though with the evoms the springs rock!!!

I have the EVO intake and the springs too. I can't say if the intake makes a performance difference since I have the chip mod also (I can feel the combination of the two), but above 4000 or so RPM, you can definitely hear it! I personally love it. The springs... the car looks much better but I scrape the plastic overhang (directly in front of tires) over just about everything.

Unfortunately, 90% of the money spent on "mods" only improves the "PAR", the Performance Appearance Ratio.....

I just put the Fabspeed kit on with the filter. I like the red silicone because it matches my car and looks clean. As to performance, I don't know that it gained much, but above 5000 rpm's it sounds much better. Overall I am happy.
