    better the narrow Gt3 : the price tag is good ,the power its' the same ,fortunally PCCB are optional (who use the car on the tracks understand why) . Only expert drivers can feel the minimal weight difference.
    If the Rs has the Pasm,same power, and it's wide I think i'll go to the "normal" Gt3 .



    I think the RS will have some special items (maybe the PASM programming and springs are more sporty), maybe it has some other interesting developments - we need to wait.

    I guess it will have DSG, but I prefer manual 6-speed anyways...

    Could someone with a comprehensive set of statistics please post the comparison (statistically speaking) between the 996 GT3 and the RS. I don't really have an idea of what the RS is about, seeing that it never came to the states... thanks

    Anyone have any Spy shots of it yet.. I am sure it has been out on the RING for some testing by now being so close to a showing date..
    I have seem a black wide body 997 GT3 look car i wonder if that is it ? any idea's??

    If it is not going to have PDK it wont be faster than the 997tt manual...
    It will still have WIDEBODY?? (plz say YES)

    I know of someone who just put a deposit down for one aswell..... I think it will be something else.. I REALLY like the 997 GT3.. so we'll have to see what this RS version will have to offer.. -Eric

    a torque coverter auto on an RS? wouldn't that be embarracing! that would make Porsche the laughing stock in the sportcar world... I'll believe it when I see it

    BTW: A friend of mine (owns a Carrera GT) told me about an alledged "final series" of the Carrera GT that will also be equipped with some sort of Tiptronic RACE. The rumour seems to be correct then

    If this is NOT a joke and Porsche will introduce TIP in GT3RS then I have to say there is a major change in Porsche philosophy on the horizont...
    Good or bad thing?? TIP in high reving NA engine? If this is true I do not know what to say...

    I think Tiptronic race will be the marketing name for PDK/DSG dual clutch gearbox. This is PDK in my opinion...

    I agree! I think ordering PDK in an RS would be enough of an embarassment, but a slushbox? That would be unbelievably lame. I'm hoping that Tiptronic Race is just Porsche's name for DSG (and that one can still opt for a manual), otherwise, I am really shocked!

    Of course there's no such thing as Tiptronic RACE.

    GT3RS will come with one gearbox option only.

    Manual (Sad but true)

    PDK will be introduced on the Turbo during modelyear 2008.
