C5 Z06 Dyno Results
Thought some might find this interesting.
After upgrading my brakes and suspension a couple years back, I felt it was finally time for some more power. I was sick of viper's holding me back in the corners only to pull away on the straits (point by passing only). I used a very popular tuner in Texas (LG Motorsports), who races modified C6's in the World Challenge Series. I got their G5X3 Comp X-ER Cam with a double springs, titanium retainers, and chromoly hardended pushrods. The cam was degreed at +2 and we tuned the car with about 12 dyno pulls. We added more feul on top and leaned it on the bottom. This produced a very nice linear power curve and a torque table flat enought to eat lunch on.
The car idles around 1000rpm and the cam comes on power around 3800 with a new redline of 7000 on a stock motor (stock was 6600). This is with long tube headers, and Borla 2 3/4" exhaust (no cats). The intake was left stock and the heads as well as the rest of the motor was not touched. For a cam only the results were awesome. All together the package cost the same as a new set of tires.

With a standard 20% drive train loss we figure about 507HP at the crank.
