    No way madad im sure your car will look spot on with the aerokit on. Dont laugh at al my alu trim. Im sorry but i love alu.

    When I went to the OPC last week you couldn't miss mine.

    A car park full of calm and conservative colours with this bright red aerokitted car stuck in the middle. Talk about standing out. But then again, thats what I wanted. Loud and proud! Actually .. I got a pic of my butt somewhere... Taken on my mobile phone last week...

    Actually got a look of surprise from the dealer when after weighing up the pros and cons of 'Seal' v 'Arctic' I ditched them both for 'GT'

    A rare choice here too, in comparison to the other two.

    Madadd. That car looks evil. Certainly looks like it will have a presence on the road!!

    MBW- You made a good choice. I do really like seal and artic. Infact mu 986 is/was in artic. Just something about GT Silver what attracted me to it.

    The only downer is that it makes my car - 54 reg but only 13 months old! - look a bit older!

    Have to say, as good as collected a brand new car with the latest reg is, I hate the UK's obsession with number plates that display the age of the car.

    Rob: Went for Classics with coloured crests. With GT a classic looking Porsche I hope.

    Other bits include black interior, adaptive seats, seat heating, TPMS, dimming mirros, Bose, telephone, multifunction s/wheel

    MBW: I went for the same wheels and crests.black interior, seat heating, dimming mirros, Bose, alot of alu trim, pse ect.

    We nearly have an identical car!!

    GT's not as rare as we hoped!!

    What 997 did you go for 2, 2S, 4, 4S?
    Of course I followed my previous colour choice logic and ended up with the 4S.

    I went for the 2s. The 4s wsnt out when i ordered my 2s. But i have drove a friends 997 4s. Its stability is awesome.
    You will love this car!! Ihave a few pics from the dealer.I will post them.

    My car has a private plate from day one! All my friends think I should have put the year prefix plate on it for the snob value. I would rather no-one knew whether it was new or old!

    Dear All - enjoy your collections - knew what it felt like about 10 months ago... just take your time to check the car out thoroughly - if possible under the showroom light - take someone else with you - they will always spot something you won't.... I had some minor stone chips and the glass on the rear passenger window was scratched....

    Who paid what for insurance and through who?

    I ended up at 1295 through Porsche themselves (35 year old, no points, garaged, no tracker)

    That was the best I could find anywhere by quite some margin.

    Blimey! Did you try Liverpool Victoria or First Alternative?
    What location are you at? No cliams years? My Boxster S was Pounds740 I think with LV, 34, Full no claims, non garaged, non tracker.

    I paid Pounds1300 with tesco! I am 25 have tracker, garaged and 6 points. Tesco have been really good with me. They gave me a great price with my 986 considering i didnt have 5 yrs no claims, 6 points and was not 25 yet.

    I picked up my brand new 997c2s yesterday at lunch time and I am so impressed by this car. Its such an amzaing car to drive and the sound that PSE exhaust makes is so beautiful! I love my baby!

    We're all out driving! Is it sad to admit I have washed it 3 times already?

    Really impressed with the engine! Considering it is the best part of 100bhp less than my Skyline it doesnt feel it. It is far nicer power. Far more useable and hugely more responsive than what I have been used to.

    PSE seemed a bit quiet. But I think it is getting louder. Phone doesnt seem all that hot either. Other than that really happy. As has been said here before it certainly matches upto my expectations. And that engine feels way better than a mere 355bhp has the right to!

    Will try and locate my digital camera.. Haven't seen it in a while. Then I can take pics!
