    HRE wheels - any feedback?

    Anyone have HREs on their car, or know people who have them. They are pricey...and I read some bad reviews in the past. Thoughts?

    I am thinking of the 841Rs - 19inch - black with silver lip for my black 997S cab.

    Attached is a photo of the rim in silver.

    What have the mal reviews said in the past?

    They have that certain amount of prestige that comes along with their name. Forged and Cast - Strong, light, and very classy.

    If i wanted to put wheels on my vehicle - HRE's would be my choice

    Have you guys ever considered iforged instead? The styles are very similar but the price is much more reasonable.

    I read that they had some bad customer service...especially on returns for repair. And also they don't do well on the track - they cant take the stress, which is surprising for the price you pay

    You have no wheels on your vehicle? How does it drive?

    Had problems with the HRE's on my M-3 (sold). Many of their wheels are heavy. Check weights first. Beware of their reverse center wheels if you drive in the rain at all. The needed lip on the inside of the wheel collects water and keeps the water spinning inside the rim through centrifical force. This phenomenon will also occur after washing the wheels.

    I'm currently using HREs 19" now, they are definitely lighter than the OEM Carrera S wheels. I do not have any problems with the water issue, I live in a tropical city and rain is common.
    As for the strength, I would not be able to ascertain but I will be bringing the car to the track soon. However, I'm sure it will hold out well against the OEM. My 2 cents.
    I get many good reviews on the looks, many fellow enthusiasts would ogre and give more than positive compliments.

    Terrible vibration with my HRE 540R wheels when wet. Tried two sets to no avail. The 540 line is definately a relaively heavy wheel. Talk with Wheel Enhancement tech. Ask their advice.

    I also dont have a gym pass - So i push and drag it for leg exercise.
