    does the 997 4 have the same AWD system as the 997TT?

    been reading about the new AWD on the forthcoming 997 turbon on
    germancarfans.com and was wondering if this is the same technology on
    the 997 4 or does the 997 4 simply get a revised version of the 996 4.

    Different systems: 997 C4 and C4S use the viscous-coupling mechanical system used on 996 C4/C4S, which is a different system than the all new 997TT electronically controlled multi-disc clutch AWD.

    What will be interesting is whether 2007 model year 997 C4/C4S will get the new electronic set-up like the TT, or will Porsche maintain production of two parallel 911 AWD systems?
