My Arctic Silver C2S has arrived (pics)
Finally, after a very long wait, I got my first Porsche at the age of 34. I collected it less than 24 hours ago, and I swear I felt as though I was 16 years old driving a car for the very first time. Emotionally, it was overwhelming.
I've driven Mercs and BMWs, but this Porsche is way too different. I can't describe the feeling I had. More like sheer happiness and satisfaction.
Then I decided by pass by my brother-in-law, who now drives an SL55 AMG (before that he had a Ferrari 456). I invited him to try it, and he immediately tested the power. All I can say that he was shocked. He says that not only the power is awsome, but the car is extremely light and responsive. He thinks that a 997 can easily be his daily driver.
Now he's thinking of replacing the SL55 for a 997.
The car is truly fantastic. I only regret that I haven't bought a Porsche when I was younger.
Thanks to all of you in Rennteam who helped me spec the car. I have a slight regret that I didn't get the manual and PSE. I guess I should have listned!
