    What do you think of this car???

    Concerned about lack of xenon and lack of bose (has sound package plus)

    640 - Sport Chrono Package Plus
    P16 - PCM 2.1
    M6T - Terracotta Floor Mats
    446 - Wheel Caps with Colored Crest
    397 - 18" Boxster S Wheel
    C02 - U.S. Standard/Emissions
    551 - Porsche Windstop (Deflector)
    490 - Sound Package Plus
    342 - Heated Front Seats
    573 - Automatic Climate Control

    Car's list is 56,000+ (can get the car for around 50k)

    Looks great! But no Xenon Errrrrrrrrrr
    Would certainly trade the sport chrono plus for it!

    Just spoke to the guys at porsche and they found a kit for $700 bucks installed to do the lights

    The car looks very nice, almost like the little brother of your slate/terracotta 997 S
    As for the Xenons: for my ageing eyes (not true for your son, I guess) and with frequent rides in the dark they are a must (also got accustomed with the Xenons in my other car), BUT if used mostly in the daylight and/or illuminated city you might pass the option (what about a testride in the dark to check the difference Halogens vs. Xenons ?)
    Regarding Bose: a two seater cab never can be transformed into a concert hall unless you'd spent really big $$$ for some aftermarket eqipment IMO - Bose is nice at the parking lot, but not so impressive while driving (maybe my ears are ageing also ) Sport Chrono might be even more valuable in the 2.7 (compared to the 3.2) as it is able to support the perception of more HP at least Just my 0.02 $

    Sounds crazy - don't know the stock-price in the US but over here the factory equipped Xenons add more than 1,000 Euro to the bill You seemed to have gained some reasonable discount far beyond European "Policies" anyway- congrats

    The standard halogens on the 987 are far better than they were on the 986, it all depends how much night driving you do and at what speeds.

    Spec looks pretty nice, wouldn't worry about the lack of bose or 19s, more about whether you really need and are happy to pay the price of PCM and sport chrono

    - Plus points: Excellent visibility, people get out of your way!
    - Minus points: People keep flashing you, or putting their lights on full beam after you've passed them - they assume you're on full beam. It really ticks me off!

    Does this include 'self leveling'? And washers? (legal requirement) And a button on the wiper stalk to activate washer?...

    That's a huge frustration and it happens all the time where I live too. I can't understand why people do that. There are so many cars I see on the road with bi-xenons now.

    If you can get them retrofitted for only $700, that really would be a great deal.

    Had Xenons on my last car - really good. Don't have them on the Box and unless it's a dark country road I don't miss them.

    I wouldn't turn down a good car just for them.

    You can always use the better bulbs from aftermarket suppliers anyway to maybe solve half of the problem!
