    Custom "Carrera 4S" emblem

    Eric at Bumperplugs did a great job on some custom logos. Carrera 4 in seal grey and S in guards red. Stock logos in next post for comparison

    Stock logo and no aerokit.

    Wonderful car... I'm however a bit conservative so I preffer the stock badge and don't see the point to modify .. But as a side-note I don't like any aftermarket mods and e.g. coloured rims are the worst thing I know of so don't take my feedback to personal

    But the most important is that you're pleased with it.. that's what really matters

    Easy. Hair-dryer to loosen them up. Dental floss to get them out. You can get any combination you want. Here's a black Turbo logo Eric did for me awhile back for my old car.

    Lookin great... the red matches the red of the brake lights... really great. On the other hand (second thought :P) it reminds me of all those Audi RS's and BMW "" M3.18" we have driving here... but stricktly aesthetically: lookin GOOD!

    Looks great!!

    But, CLEAN THOSE EXHAUST TIPS!!! And it's a PSE, so the chrome is way easier to shine up than the stainless steel regular tips!!

    woo!! very nice, the S stand out so much, that's what the p car should looks like right out of factory!!
    NWturbo-i live in vancouver too, what shop did you go to for installing the areo kit. i'm looking for a good shop to do some paint job

    I like the add-on... It would have been an interesting marketing concept for Porsche to reserve the "old" red "S" (or any red "S" for that matter) for the 997s with the X-51 power package to differentiate it from the normal "S".

    Although only Porschephiles would understand... Personally, I may debadge and keep everyone guessing.

    thanks NWturbo, I went to no.1 collision today coz it's closer to home, and they quoted me 2500cnd for installing the areo kit, does that sound right. I would definitely call up Korva for a quote too.

    Sounds like a VW TDi to me! The old 1.9L engine was available with 90, 100, 105, 110, 115, 130 and 150 HP during its life. It was a connoisseur's game to find out the exact version the way the 'TDi' emblem was painted (the more red letters the more powerful engine).

    This kind of little games does not fit a Porsche IMHO. I for one always debadge.

    Red looks nice but it reminds me too much of the S' on Acura RSX and Toyota Corollas

    Korva charged me $1500 CAD to do it, including painting the side skirts. No.1 at $2500 CAD is too much IMO.

    Also, buying the aerokit from MCL Porsche will cost close to $10,000CAD. You can find the aerokit on ebay for much less. I bought mine from Brandywine Porsche for US $4000

    Ebay is awesome. For my old 996TT, the aerokit I put on was also purchased from ebay for half the cost of the dealer price.

    I quite like the 997's that have deleted Carrera etc from the tail and have used a simple "911" script(in italics). Have seen several on the web and one on the road here in Dubai, but don't know where they got them............anyone know ?

    Try Bumperplugs.com Click "Order", then "Click here to start shopping", and scroll down, they have silver for $49 and black for $17.95

    Porsche also used the script for 40th Anniversary 996s...but that one had "40th Anniversary" (or something in German) engraved in an underline...
