Seriously, if those cars are actual size relative to each other, then you can clearly see how it's grown over the previous generation. But, with more size and more weight, it has increased in power, so, it's balanced out.

I'm pretty sure 965 is the internal model number for a 964 Turbo, just like 951 is the number for 944 Turbo. Correct me if I am wrong.

just checked some websites and it looks like 965 is common used for the 964 turbo...
It's the same as we call a 911 turbo (type 901, not thanks to Peugeot ), a 930.
And the 944 turbo, a 951. (just like 1RAGE said)
