    Car is in!!!!!!!

    Got the call from the dealer this afternoon. Car is in. Hooray for me! But, snows on the way here in Michigan
    I'm waiting for a break in the weather then and will be telling the boss I need a couple of days off. Daughter just got her license, so I will drag her down to take some photos of the happy occasion. I hope we get an early spring!

    Congratulations!! Hope the weather doesn't keep you off the road!

    Waiting for my 911S to be delivered next Monday, Feb. 20. The big snow storm in the East kept the cars bottled up in Baltimore, awaiting inspection and delivery to dealers. Apparently, the snow was so heavy that they had to dig the cars out. I hope there wasn't any damage to the paint. Hopefully we won't have any more snow storms so I can get in a lot of good driving.

    Jim48, I used to live in VA, tidewater area. Wish I was down there still...the weather there wouldn't be an issue for me. As a matter of fact, I'm driving down there as soon as the snows go away, a good way to get those break in miles as its a 1500 mile round trip.

    yeah, was fun gettin that call.

    BUT be sure to conserve your energy for the delivery day. It's alot of work, lots of over-stimulation. I really didn't enjoy the whole thing. Gotta sign big check, check car for dents, talk to ten guys at dealership, here to there, to to fro, crazy "work" so rest up for it.

    THEN the fun begins later that day when you find yourself sitting in the car in the middle of the night in your pajamas.

    MMD, that is going to be uncomfortable for me, here in Michigan. I don't even wear pajamas, not even a tee-shirt, so imagine me in my whity-tighties, 28 degrees, in the garage. Guess I should have opted for the heated seats. Sorry for the visual.

    I live in western Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley. Winters aren't as mild as in the Tidewater area, but they seem to pass pretty quickly. Just about all the snow we got last Saturday/Sunday has melted, and only a few flurries or light snow are expected on Monday, when I take delivery. As long as it's not another Nor'easter it shouldn't be a problem.

    I decided earlier tonight to get the 3M clear bra added on tomorrow (the car arrived at the dealer today, but I can't pick it up until next Monday). Hope I made a good move, as I want to keep the paint looking well for as long as possible.

    Monday is a bank holiday here in the states, but if the weather looks clear (no salt being added for ice or snow) I might be feeling a little under the weather on Tuesday My daughter will see it first, she's an aspiring photographer and will be snapping the photos. Guess I will have to show it to the wife too. The guys of work know I'm gettin one, but won't see it unless I pass them on the highway on the weekend. Nowhere to park it that is safe at work. My Mom's a sports car fan, so I'll be paying her a visit. I'll post the photos when I figure how its done on here.
